Report: Rucker Reinstated to MSU Team

Submitted by Geaux_Blue on

Now before this gets out of hand, this does not necessarily mean he will play but, rather, that he is likely free to practice, travel and suit up on Saturday. The Ticket is currently melting down with Spartan fans calling in yelling Stonum so I figured the post should be created with the caveat above before Michigan fans begin muddying the issue.

Edit: Dantonio on Chris L playing on Saturday

"That's up to Rucker - there's risk involved."

Likely referring to the possibility of injury, not knowing the scheme but... alluding to the fact he's not necessarily being held out via disciplinary reasons

[FA Edit: Rather than trying to moderate every response to the troll(s), I'm just locking this thread. It's MSU news anyways, so it's not really important. I tried deleting several, but some comments worth saving were being deleted, too.]

Excerpt: "Dantonio comes off soft on discipline. He looks like a win-at-all-costs coach who puts standards aside before the nation's No. 5 team plays a huge game at Iowa. Michigan State looks like the Land of Second Chances, the program where you can wear a jumpsuit and a jersey in the same day. "

Nothing was ever reported as a suspension but Stonum did miss time early last year.  And none of this changes the "Zero Tolerance" policy that Dantonio stated, would be in play.  Mark Dantonio clearly makes his decisions based on what gives him a better chance to win, first and foremost.

Didn't Mr Dantonio say last year that there would be a no tolerance policy from now on .Or do you need a DB for this game ? Also I remember Jacque Demers when he was the coach of the Red Wings and he had a bunch of players miss curfew and he failed to discipline them because he needed them to play to have a chance to beat Edmonton " to be fair to the other players" and he lost control of the team and was gone as the coach a year or two later .PLayers lose respect for you when you say one thing and do another.

I'm really disappointed about missing all the trolls on this thread. They must be pretty upset that the "MSU glory days" are being ruined by virtue of having a "win at all costs" head coach.

There's only so much garbage you can sweep under the rug.

MSU trolls are so dumb that they post their new MGoBlog account names and posts on tRCMB. And brag about their trolling. So they get removed. Like trolls.

The sheer bafflement that they experienced when their comments weren't showing up 3 minutes after posting "Hey everybody, look out for (insert name)'s comments when we invade the board" was incredible. It may be one of the stupidest things I've seen on the internet: disclosing your troll identity in a thread entitled 'MGoBlog invasion' on a board that your target audience is reading due to it being the week of your game.

And then they played it off as if they didn't "want to invade anyways" while mocking the very point system that prevented them from creating posts in the first place.

Oh RCMB, you never fail.

Is anyone at all surprised by this decision? The sparties know this is their one and only chance. It still won't matter iowas defense will destroy cousins
