Kris Frost and Auburn
According to GBW lifelong Michigan fan Kris Frost says he prefers to play WR. He didn't make it to Michigan's spring game because his family was late buying plane tickets and went to Auburn's instead. Ironically, Auburn runs an offense similar to his HS.
He still plans to visit M, but I highly doubt we are going to recruit him as a WR. Just giving what's available to the public.

M will give him a shot. It might work out. It wasn't just an empty promise to Denard or Gordon.
I saw that he will be here for the "BBQ at the Big House" in May. From what I've seen, he just doesn't look like someone who will end up at WR in college.
The coaches told him they are recruiting him for both positions, and I'm assuming they would gradually nudge him towards defense like they did with Cam Gordon.
He sends me texts randomly, and sent me one the other day. He REALLY likes Michigan, and is trying his hardest to get up to the Big House BBQ.
He wants to be a Michigan wide receiver, but is open to moving if that helps the team. Michigan will recruit him for whatever he wants, and then have him move to the best fit.
Is he really that fast? I know he's a good athlete, but I thought he was playing linebacker because his frame looks to put on a good chunk more weight. If he does, he'll be an enormous WR.
and with laser arms, enormous wide receivers...I have no problem with any of this...
I don't know if you've noticed, but we've already got big receivers. If you took the average height and weight of our receivers (not including the slots) I bet it would be the biggest in the Big Ten. And then Conway comes...
This class is really shaping up to be a great one, especially if we win a few games. I mean if we win 10 it's not out of the realm of possibility to end up with:
Depriest, Doran Grant (getting greedy here), DArnett, Frost, Antonio Poole, Dee Hart, Zettel, Beyer.
I mean after the last 2 years I can only imagine what recruiting will be like when we start winning B10 championships again.

Depriest and Grant are looking like distant possibilities now.

As has been touched upon, RR will give you chance to prove you can play at whatever position you desire if you feel you're good enough.
In the end, if Frost wants to be a Wolverine bad enough, he'll have no problems playing where the coaches think he contributes the most.

Ironically, Auburn runs an offense similar to his HS.I don't mean to be diction Nazi here. (Actually, that's not true. This is a truly loathsome mistake.) This is coincidental, NOT ironic.
it figures.
Visiting a college that runs a similar offense to your own HS is like rain on your wedding day.
If Frost ONLY wants to play wide receiver, then I'd be inclined to move on. If he's open to changing positions, then hooray.
Outside of Stonum and Stokes, our wide receiver corps is pretty slow of foot. Miller, Jackson, Hemingway, etc. aren't very fast. Conway has pretty good speed, but it would be nice to get another deep threat to replace Stonum, who will be a senior when any Class of 2011 kid arrives on campus.
After watching a couple of his films, I feel he is best suited at OLB. I don't think he is fast enough to be effective on the outside in this offense. We need a burner like DeAnthony Arnett. I know his recruitment is an enigma, but I would love to have him in Ann Arbor. I know we currently sit outside of his top three but with Brandon Graham being his mentor and his close friendship with Devin Gardner, I think we are right in the mix. We just need to show that our program is turning around instead of saying it will turn around. Go Blue!!

Isn't it Woodley that is is mentor from Saginaw. BG was from Detroit.
I may be wrong, but I thought that Jerald Robinson was pretty fast for an outside receiver, and he has been making some noise so far in the spring. I think he could see the field this season as a true freshman. Also, I know DJ Williamson isn't on campus yet, and may not stay at WR, but he definitely has wheels and could help with speed on the outside.
Sam Webb on recruiting roundup this morning implied that Frost will eventually end up at LB(his best position according to Sam), but will be given the opportunity at WR if he wants it.
