OT Justin Wilcox (Wisc. DC) offered HC at Cal
ESPN reporting that Cal offered him the job. I would suggest that this is a loss for Wisconsin. At least this time it isn't a lateral'ish move.

Good opportunity for him as a) a promotion, b) better weather and access to lots of talent, and c) get away from penny-pinching/constantly meddling athletic director Barry Alvarez!

Chip is probably going to command too high of a salary for what Cal can offer, and I'm also guessing that as much as they'd like to have him as their coach, they don't want to risk him trying to bring in guys who aren't academically qualified for Cal.
Kelly is going to want total control and autonomy over whatever program he goes to next. He'd be a hell of a recruiter for Cal, but my guess is he'd be clashing with the Admissions Office quite a bit over getting all the kids he wants for his program. Something tells me Cal's Admissions Office wouldn't care much to enroll a kid who can run a 4.2 40, but has a 2.7 GPA in high school.

Uh-Oh , now we will have to worry about both Nebraska and Wisconsin trying to take Don Brown away
