Jeff George Jr. Likely Starting at QB Today for Illinois
This has been rumored all week, but the Big Ten Network just reported that Jeff George Jr. (their third-stringer) is likely starting today at QB for Illinois. Lunt and Crouch didn't practice on Thursday, they reported.
Might be a long afternoon on offense for the Illini.

I'll set Over/under at 2.5 for: Defensive and Special Teams touchdowns.

It depends on how long Jr. is in the game. If I expected him to last for the entire game, I'd take the over.

The PTSD isn't completely gone but it feels nice to go into a game with no stress.

No playing down to their level, ballz out
every play, no mercy.
Knock the the bye-week rust off and
get this fine-tuned, well-oiled machine
up and ready for the second half of
the season.

A walk on RS Freshman QB starting his first ever game, and it's in the Big House against the number 1 defense in the country?
Good luck, kid.
Let's hope Michigan doesn't get McGloined.

Let's disregard the fact that that game was in the road at Penn State and that this game is at home. We had a coach who didn't give two shits about fielding even a mediocre defense, and then he hired a mediocre defensive coordinator and asked him to run a scheme he had absolutely no idea how to run. Now we have a defense run by arguably the best coordinator in the country, and it's run with far better talent than anything we had six years ago.
The mental and physical fortitude of the 2010 team doesn't hold a single ember of a single candle to what this year's team can do.

Don Brown smells blood in the water. The DL is likely going to have a big day today.
