Not sure is posted already or elsewhere, but here is a great video of Jabrill creaming a Colorado trainer on the sideline. Watch this poor bastard's face just before impact: http://michigan.247sports.com/Bolt/Watch-Jabrill-Peppers-accidentally-d…

Peppers' helmet carries through the trainer and hits Liufau in the face. Ouch.

running back early in the game. Spun him around from the force of the blow.

He's an amazing athlete, tackler, returner, blitzer, etc etc. However, his coverage game still needs some work. I often see him chasing the guy he's covering one on one or playing off his man a bit too much. Other than that, he's a freak and the best player on the team.

This is NOT the place for anything other than slobbering over Jabrill. If you see a weakness, keep it to yourself! (kidding)
I confess to having discussion on the office just this week where I posed the question:
"if it wasn't for all of the hype, would Peppers really stand out that much to you just watching the game?"
And followed that up with "He is the ALMOST player of 2016. (ala Norfleet?)"
And then he made 3 plays today that sold me on what the coaches had seen so much in practice.
1) Crushing tackle in the open field to deny Colorado on an outside run.
2) Bliitz/sack where he was shot out of a cannon.
3) Kick return to mid-field to provide great field position.
4) Punt return. Electric.
OK, so that's 4 plays. I had forgotten the kickoff return. For me, this was THE game where Jabrill made a statement.

If it took you until yesterday to see that Jabrill is a transcendent player, then you don't understand football.

He is a decent player. I hope He does something to earn His scholarship someday.

My legs were like spaghetti when he ran that punt back. It's been so freaking long.
Martavious Odoms at Purdue in 2008 was the last actual punt return (excluding punt block returns).
Peppers has gotten so damn close in the past. He was due. What a game. A treasure, this man is.

You have anything on his previous longs? He's had some called back too.

I hope he stays until his senior year, but if he leaves, boy do I hope he comes to Tampa. Bucs defense is in dire need of playmakers.

I don't think Woodson had as many big gainers on returns as Peppers has had at this point in their career. You have to remember that Peppers has only played just over a year of actual college football. He's in his 3rd game at a new position at the college level in a new defense. Judging by the way he gets through the line and meets his targets, he's catching on pretty quick with the angles and speed he needs. Hopefully by suckeyes game you'll see the far expanded progression and his feel for the position. Then you'll see a dude taking up a section of the field my good man.

If his pass coverage went up a notch or two he might be the perfect player.

And really his pass coverage stems from him being so aggressive to shut down runs, screens, underneath stuff that he is late to read that he needs to get back. I'm sure in high school it didn't matter one bit because he was fast enough. Half a second faster recognition time saved one of those early touchdowns today.
