I bet Saban is PISSED.

Would be a nice get. Unfortunately he wouldn't be able to help us next year
are a 5 seed in the South next year without him anyway.
So Spake Lunardi
5* recruit's dad: "Hey Vegas, what kind of odds does WCCC have right now? 5,000:1? Put me down for $25,000."
5* recruit's dad: "Hey son, looks like you're going to WCCC next year."
It is sad that Xavier seems to be as big, or maybe even bigger, of a draw than Michigan.
just shows you the state/perception of our program.
i don't think xavier has even been to a final 4
Xavier hasn't been to a final 4. But they haven't had a losing record since 95-96. And only two years of the past 20 with under 20 wins. So, yes it's a mid major, but a program with a history of success.
Xavier is in the big east, hardly a mid major.
I was thinking how nice it was that Michigan Basketball is mentioned in the same sentence as Kentucky and Xavier. I don't follow basketall very closely, but I was under the impression that Xavier was in the same category as Kentucky, North Carolina and the like.
It isn't. It 's a super small Jesuit school in Cincy that has had a string of great coaching hires over the past decade or two. But even then, it isn't a perpetual top 25 team or anything.
In the last 9 years, their NCAA tourney seeds have been:
3, 4, 6, 6, 10, No NCAA bid, 12, 6, 2
That's a Top 25 seed in 6 of those years.
Q, you forgot the

But Beilein is doing a bang up job and anyone hoping for more for the program should just know that our place in the cosmos is as a mediocre program and accept it. Or at least thats what Ive been told here.

Xavier grad checking in here. This sounds like a win/win.
Xavier is getting a great baller.
You're right, Beilein's never signed a 3 star recruit that ended up being good. Or any other good players, for that matter.

Yep, not a single "good" or promising player has signed with the program since then.
If you want to have low expectations or talk about the downward trajectory of the program, fine. But don't be an idiot.
I mean, it's hyperbole that he probably doesn't mean literally. But it's true that we haven't recruited a single player as good as McGary, Nik, GRIII, or Caris since 2012.
have done more for the program than caris and both were top 50 recruits. feel bad for caris though. hopefully those injuries are behind him.
Wagner's got great upside. He may not have put up big numbers as a freshman, but neither did LeVert (or McGary, pre-tournament).
I like what I've heard about Simpson, too.
