My point is that if he big news, if he can't tell us ANYTHING about it, then he shouldn't bother to even say something's going to happen. It's just unnecessary imo.

I think the Big News will be positive, I could tell by the tone of the original post. I think the follow up post that implied the News would have mixed reviews was intentional to create ambiguity. Since TomVH is the recruiting intern, isn't it safe to think it's recruiting related?

And it is not necessarily recruiting related. He has some sort of in that allowed him to get transcripts of McGuffie transfer conversations, so presumably the information could be about anything.
I'm still going with coaching movement of some sort.

That is the sort of news that would be rumbling around elsewhere. Tom's not THAT good (that I know of) - I doubt he'd get the scoop on the biggest coaching story of the year.
A 1 for 1 recruiting swap is something I hadn't contemplated though. Could be possible. I doubt the 1 for 2 swap you suggest above would make anyone happy, so I doubt it's something that big.

That's a question that is a little too indepth to cover on here. My hatred of her stems from when she was trying to ruin the UM greek system, much like she did at Iowa. When I was on IFC I had a handful of meetings with here where it was clear she met with us just to say she had, not to listen to anything we had to say. Lee Bollinger would listen to students and react, MSC has an agenda and, in my experience, cares little about what the students think of her intentions.

MSC worked well with us (Phi Psi) to launch that IFC/SAPAC program. And then, she was the one who wrote to us at the Daily after a columnist went off the Greek system and mentioned that it was the Fraternities who were educating their members on date rape.
Mich didn't lack for anti-Greeks, but I didn't get that vibe from Mary Sue.

It's also suspected that she was hired because she was under-qualified. Having lost a few past presidents to the Ivy League schools, Michigan wanted one who they wouldn't poach from us.

She pissed off basically the entire law school by killing our end of semester BBQ. It had always had beer at it for years and years and years and she killed that aspect of it, even though, you know, EVERY FARKING STUDENT IN THE LAW SCHOOL WAS AT LEAST 21.

This joke has gone awry, and nowhere. Poor planning on my part, but it was a play off of one of my recent posts saying how I hate all the other sites, and how they say dumb things and report things that don't make sense. Like, "wait, something big is happening, it could either happen now, or at the end of the year, or next year." This turned out to be not funny, sorry.
