Would prepare for it just to be safe. The Indiana game inexplicably just seemed to make people more pissed at us. Can't win this year it seems. (It might be giving this team just the "edge" it needs to actually make a move if we do get in this thing though).

Still has SDSU in because there are a bunch of brackets that have not updated since they lost yesterday. If you look at the brackets submitted since their loss, they are not going to be in.

...but this is something I've always wondered.

How are the seedings determined? I mean, you would think that the top 4 teams in the country would each get a 1-seed in each region. The teams #5-8 would be 2-seeds in each region. So on and so forth.

So if we're a "bubble" team who maybe doesn't deserve to be in the tournament, why would we get an 11-seed? Wouldn't it make more sense for a bubble tem to be a 15- or 16-seed? Is it because the automatic bid winners from crappy conferences are considered to be weaker than the at-large teams from bigger conferences? Or does the committee toy with seeds to create good matchups?

I just think if the committee thinks we should barely squeeze into the tournament, we would be a #16 seed.

As others noted, lots of the lower seeds are not particularly good teams from bad conferences who get an autobid. I think the lowest you'll ever see an at large team seeded is 12th, and even if like, say, Rutgers won the BTT they would probably be seeded 13th at worst.

an ESPN job years ago, he was about to be shown the door two minutes into the initial interview until suddenly he blurted, "I'll troll the Michigan fan base for you..." The rest is history.

Being consistently mediocre saved Michigan. No bad losses. Can't kick out a team that did not lose to a bad team.

We'll see.  That's a pretty dull story.

We're not really what the committee likes . . . a plucky mid-major who made a splash against long odds.  They are willing to overlook some warts - bad losses, weak schedule, inconsistency - for those guys.

We will have to work against some mid major affirmative action on the part of the committee to get in.

That PSU team was super weird. They had some nice wins during the year in conference, but also didn't play or beat anyone outside of it. And I might be wrong, but there were a couple stolen bids. I'll say this; UM should send Louisville and SMU bags of money and hookers for being ineligible this year, because UM would be out in all likelihood otherwise.

when he has st marys in tho? If the facts th3 ppl on Espn are saying are right (obviously are) then theres no way in hell st marys should be in over monmouth. Who doesnt want to see that bench in the tourney that can actually win on the road unlike st marys?
