MSU Voted "Fan Base Most Obsessed With Their Rival"
Who cares where this list came from, it's undoubtedly correct. Their very name and mascot - the Spartans - were chosen because UM and Ann Arbor were often called the "Athens of the Midwest."

I didn't know there was a close second, but when someone mentioned AUB, yeah it made sense. Although it's apparent many think UCLA belongs on that list, based on my time in S. Cal, I really don't think either of the two fan bases care enough about the game of football that they would qualify. I imagaine that might be true within the city of L.A., but I don't think it spread much farther. But then again, I can imagine UCLA fans realizing USC has a rivalry they have more respect for does not set real well.

Bites dog. Story at eleven. That's the more interesting result. We're the standard by which the cited others adjudge themselves. Their true enemy stares back at them every morning from the mirror. Not our fault.

Is it obsession if you write a piece about other fan bases being obsessed and then pick a few random teams that you dont really follow to complete the list?
