To sum everything up Greg Sankey is a whiney bitch.

As a student athlete, I like the idea of knocking out some of my spring practices when I don't have to worry about class.. #perspective

Of course, it's hard to believe many Michigan players are against a free trip to Florida in late February/early March.

The SEC doesn't seem to have an issue with school and practice. Sounds like Butt just needs to do school better...

Jake? I mean, that's your "free time". Why would you want to spend your free time hanging out with your friends in sunny Florida? You can stay home with your family.
Stanky Sankey's got your back.
Make no mistake - He cares about you.

"I'm not going to reduce what is an important conversation to some childhood use of Twitter," he said. "This is an important issue."
This translates to: "I do not have a genuine defense for my previous comments other than I made a promise to several people that their recruiting grounds should remain unsullied by outsiders. How this was to be achieved was something I was not prepared to discuss."

What I don't get about his argument is that the number of practices are capped. So it doesn't matter whether you work on spring break or not, you will have exactly the same number of practices. SEC MATH.

God created the SEC so that even FIFA has somebody to be appalled by.

Why satellite camps are not in the interest of the high school student athlete and their families. Does not matter that they are in the interest of the high school student athlete and their families, would just like to here his explanation why they are not. Considering Sankey and guys like him make their good living of student athletes, they should be more focused on student athlete welfare and less worried about preserving their "entitlement" to preserve the status quo.

Really, he started this, Harbaugh responded and now he's whining. Typical sec.
February 10th, 2016 at 7:51 PM ^
We knew this would happen when we hired Harbaugh. That's his thing, he picks a fight with the buggest bully on the block.
We all thought it would be Urban Meyer, and that may still yet happen, but for now it's the SEC. Not just one program, the entire SEC.
Jimmy ain't skeerd of nobody.

"Get over it Stankey. Let these guys alone before some one wants to investigate bammer. These commish don't give a rat's axx about the well being of the student athlete."
On the same page, we are.

I love how the comments degenerated into Alabama and Auburn fans arguing over who cheats more, using statements like "during our last probation" or "that was two probations ago".
But hey SEC, let's make sure that Michigan does not bring its players down to Florida, all expenses paid, for a few days.
Way to focus on what's really important.

with the fact that it becomes less convenient for them to pile up recruits in their footprint.
They are spoiled, fat and lazy.
Fuck em!

Everybody knows academics are secondary in the SEC. That's why none of this fuss is sticking. Everybody sees right through it.
Look, you can't have it both ways. If you are going to allow your institutions to cheat and bend the rules because that's not a priority for you, then you can't suddenly become a born-again rules convert when it comes to another conference's institutions.
He should just shut up.

Well (allegedly) unless they're women and getting raped by the Tennessee football team.
But that apparently isn't as worthy of Sankey's indignation and horror as a few dozen kids from someone else's conference focusing completely on their exams, then enjoying a few practices in Florida while going to the beach and seeing the sights.
The air down South is rank with the smell of fear. I hope Delany and the NCAA let Harbaugh's March to the Sea continue unabated.

Harbaugh marking his territory in the deep south....

Sankey acts like he has concern for students. Maybe he should keep an eye on all the corruption in his conference. Especailly before he opens his pie hole.
