Will the OSU game stay at 12:00?

Submitted by wolverine1987 on

Sorry, unusual post, but looking for a quick answer: it seems that often game times get changed based upon TV's whims. Currently it's a 12:00 start, and I just discovered an appointment I made a couple months ago for 1:00, which obviously much now change. I would hate to change it to later and then have the game change on the appt that has to be that day.

At noon, does anyone know of a good bar that will have the game on in the Galápagos Islands? I was planning on testing darwin's theory of evolution this weekend, but if hate to miss it.

No commitments to anything on a Saturday in November until I check my calendar and there's no football (especially OSU game).

This includes weddings. Anyone of your 'friends' that has a wedding on MSU or OSU Saturday...isn't really a 'friend'. They're a dick.

Now that I think of it. That's how ALL of my Saturday's in the fall go. Some have more precedent than others.

I would guess they will attempt to keep the game at noon for as long as possible. Most fans are fine but you always have a handful that can't handle their booze and make the game unenjoyable for the rest of us.

a person would schedule an appointment on any Saturday during UM's season, willfully. Did your wife make it for you? Is is an emergent sort of issue? If not, wtf were you thinking? Cancel it is the answer you are looking for. Reschedule at your leisure.

Sorry you got negged so much on this one. Your posts/comments are usually ones I upvote. (no snark). Maybe the negs come from those who have diligently planned around this, and are worried about a few hour move themselves. I, for instance, have a trip to the Andromeda Galaxy planned and did it early just so I could find a bar there in time. Anyone have any ideas? Star Wars bar maybe? Too early?

It's not my theory, it has been said by BigTen officials in the past.

The reverse is true for the SEC footprint where the unbearably hot days in September warrant night games but come November, not so much.

"The Big Ten has long been against playing night games in November, primarily for weather concerns. It’s cold in the Big Ten in November, and temperatures only go down at night. Has the Big Ten suffered by not playing night games in November over time? Probably not, considering the big money media packages the conference has lined up, although not having some of the best teams and best games on in a national spotlight time slot does have an impact on how a particular team or the conference can be viewed by the public, or the media."
