"MSU doesn't look very good."

Should tell us something about our ceiling. Michigan is quite good, but we're not a playoff-quality team. I'm ok with that; if we can find a good QB next year, I think we have a chance, even with the two biggies on the road.

And I believe we can beat OSU this year.

To be fair, a lot depends upon matchups. The problem I believe we have is that we just can't execute reliably on offense when we need to; neither our running game nor our passing game is good enough to be counted on to make the plays we need against good teams every time, and that has already cost us.

That's just where Michigan is right now.

To be fair, I think LSU is overrated; their Florida win was good, but their passing game is notably inconsistent. Could we beat them? Maybe, but I don't know.

I can't wait to hear the excuse this week for why MSU didn't play well against another team.

Cook has been fine, I guess, in this game, but their offense looks terrible against a not-good IU unit.

1. Northwestern looks a lot better.

2. Nebraska looks worse despite talk about losing by a total of 13 points. Five loses is  huge for people who were "upset' with 9-3.

3. Maryland isn't that bad - did we see this kid at QB when we played them?

4. Penn State is OK - Hacklenburg is keeping them in the game

5. IU can play - their QB is critical.

6. MSU is vulnerable on the defensive side, but Connor Cook is the real deal.

The defensive performance of the Wolverines only looks better in light of these efforts.

It also shows that a lot of teams have passing games over 20 yards. Not a knock but shows how far the Big Ten has come. Once only a few teams had a guy who was reliably accurate that deep, but now most teams do.

Is lowering my confidence in Rudock. Dear lord he should have feasted on this secondary. I don't care how pumped on Dantonio gets them, they are bad.

Rudock is who he is. MSU is vulnerable in the back end. We knew it before the game, and Michigan didn't exploit it. It was disappointing.

It is also what Michigan is this year. They leave some yards and points on the field, the goal being to win with defense and execution. It has worked pretty well in five games; the execution destroyed us in the other two.
