So, how did your Rose Bowl prediction go?

Here's your spot to brag, rationalize, explain, mea culpa, or just cry.
There was a lot of Oregon 1,000,000 OSU -7 picks, so what went wrong?
Here's to Michigan getting back to Pasadena by the 100th Rose Bowl.

good.

My sentiments are the same. Really expected Oregon to steam roll them.

perhaps the Bucks will believe their 2010 hype.
On defense, the Bucks will lose 3 defensive lineman (I'm guessing Heyward goes pro), 2 LB (guessing Rolle goes pro), and both safeties.

Oregon would stick it to them.
Buckeye D came to play, Oregon's D did not.

I'd rather not talk about it because the longer we talk about it the longer it will take for me to get the image of that game and that moron in white wearing #2 talking on the podium out of my head.

I think the opposite of what I predicted happened, or close to it.
I expected Pryor to have the numbers that Massoli had and Massoli to not suck so much.
Now we have to live with buckeye fans all offseason being able to say how much better they were than us. At least the Yankees won the world series, otherwise i would have nothing.

even had they been blown out.
Here's to burying the memories of the 2008 & 2009 seasons.

Too good.

The one good thing that comes out of this is that the Big Ten might get more respect.

I was thinking Oregon would win handily until I saw the rest of the Pac-10 getting crapped on in other bowls. Combining that with their games against both Boise and Purdue made me change my mind a day or two ago.

Was not good.
However, I doubt we'll see the talking heads spewing "overrated" like they do with glee when the Big 10 struggles. They never do it for any other conference.

I think Oregon had a little more success than I thought they would.
I thought the Bucks would win,so I got lucky on this one.

I was way off but my OSU buddy predicted 28-17. He's pretty rational for a bucknut (it's all relative). I hit a nerve when I said OSU's QB coach is doing a great job with TP's mechanics after he shot-put a pass out to the flank that OU blew up. He started on, "Oh, and what bowl is Michigan playing in?! Wah, wah, wah." They're so original.

I picked OSU in my confidence pool so I'm happy as many others did not.

i thought ohio state would play much more conservatively, i also thought oregon would score more points. both assumptions were wrong

I based my prediction off the assumption that Tressel would play conservative and pound the ball. Instead, they had Pryor throw early and often, and he executed.

I called that their D would step up... but I also thought it'd be closer. Go Big 10!

I had OSU winning 34-31. Pryor played far better than I thought he would.
The weird thing is I found myself rooting for Ohio State even though I went into it intending to root for Oregon. I guess it comes down to the fact that I really don't like Oregon (hangover effect from two bad UM losses to them...) and I really couldn't root for a team with Blount on it.
