Someone voluntarily offered Kiffin a job? On purpose?

49ers OC position.
Given the recent moves they have made it almost makes too much sense.

Really. Three posts apart?

MGA, glad you are counting and I thought it applied. This one is for you, enjoy...

It might be just me, but Adam Schefter's seemingly nonplussed expression here is, on some levels, rather disturbing. To be fair, of course, he did correctly predict the fall of the Eastern Bloc in 1989 in 1995, so there is a modicum of credence that should be given here as he does seem to know about things after they happen.

How dare anyone compare the spawn of Monte Kiffin with our Jim Harbaugh??!
A digital Bar of soap to wash out whatever got into you!

Uhhhh...
I didn't really compare them, just said they did one thing the same.

This tells you how bad San Fran management and ownership are. Lane Kiffin, LANE FREAKING KIFFIN, turned them down.
January 24th, 2015 at 4:29 PM ^
Lane Kiffin saying, "Uh, no thanks...you guys are really fucked up there in San Fran."

Kiffin staying put for two years in a row. Tuscaloosa on full streak alert tonight. Excellent post to the previous comment about Oakland still in play.

I think he is the main reason Bama lost the Sugarbowl (along with all their LBs getting hurt). If they had just run the ball they control the clock and win that game. Their main tailback Henry was averageing over 7 yards a carry and only got 13 of them.

Yeah, I kept looking for the magic that Kiffin was supposed to bring to Alabama. I'm still looking.

I'm sure he got a nice raise.

with a super young owner and a really really unknown quantity at HC, kiffin is making the right choice. Bama is loaded as everyone knows and was caught off guard by Meyer's Tebow imitator QB-Cardele jones. I believe if they play that game again bama wins. Probably going to see a rematch next year. Bucky had a Cinderella year that won't be repeated.

Maybe Bama draws them again, and yes, Saban's record in revenge games is well documented, but beating that team again next year is far from a given.

Like where it says he was even offered the job in SF. I suppose it's possible, but it's also posible that he bombed the interview or his agent was pushing the story in the first place.

Judgemental, but from everything I have read about York, other than of course the obvious his lack of intelligence to keep Harbaugh (great for Michigan). Who would want to work for the guy?
Niners Nation is still pissed, a little shocked, a little dazed and confused as to what the hell is going on!
I wish them the best!

You know SF is a hot mess if Kiffin says no thanks.
