Thanks for posting. I wasn't sure if Michigan was playing a consilation game or not bc I couldn't find it the other day.
I don't know much about Alabama bball but I have some thoughts on the first loss. Marquette was by far the more athletic of the two and we didn't have great size so we couldn't rely on that. This team will be better off down the road bc of that game. I haven't been this excited about Michigan bball in years. Go Blue!

Great, now no one can watch it. At least not this guy.

You can't give in to demands so easily. It will set a bad precedent...MadtownMaize (i.e.- OT Michigan) will just keep demanding more. Michigan men and women will blog about whatever the hell they want to blog about, and MadtownMaize will have to accept that.
In other news, did you hear the rumor that 15-20 Sparty football players put on ski masks and assaulted men and women at a fundraiser. That's fuckin' crazy.

Rumor has it that Micheal Rosenberg was outside the dormitory, interviewing witnesses to find out if the team was holding an unsanctioned practice.

Cause in the rumor I heard, Rosenberg was identified as the only non-Sparty player involved in assault...and he was heard screaming "Fuck RichRod and the Michigan Wolverines" as he left.

Not really about giving into demands as much as it was about kinda agreeing with him and wanting to talk about these two events.
I gotta turn my focus to hockey and bball ASAP in order to prevent myself from becoming a full blown alcoholic.

It was tongue-in-cheek. I was being snarky.

Tough first loss against Marquette, but I expected that at some point. We were obviously going to play poorly at some point to get a loss. It's understandable. Do I think we are overrated? Yes, but who knows by how much. This team will continue to improve over the season. They look a little sloppy right now, but I expect better play out of them.

Lost to Cornell in the beginning of the year. Other than that, I know nothing.

This is an important game, a 2-1 record with 2 good wins would be big before playing BC.

Michigan is favored by 4.5 Sounds like they are a smallish team looking to press and push the ball...They might not have a lot of 3-pt shooting options. They seem to like to throw it up pretty quick. Should be a high scoring game. I hope they aren't as quick as Marquette.

Alabama is 3-2 on the season:
Lost opening game to Cornell (71-67) but did beat Jackson State (86-69) and Providence (84-75) before entering the Old Spice Tourney...
Alabama's averages this year so far:
Pts: 73.4 but is giving up 70.2
FG %: .455 but opponents are shooting .435
3pt %: .352 but opponents are shooting .386
TO: averaging 10.6 turnovers per game
Free Throw Average: .672
Apparently, Alabama's biggest problem this year has been defending the 3point line - so if Michigan can make the 3, it can be a good game for the Big Blue.
And I believe that the Alabama Coach is new this year.....

I wonder if you can still buy tickets to the NY Giants vs. Alabama basketball game. Should be interesting watching Eli and Manningham rain 3s while Jacobs bangs in the post.
