MGrowOld and His Tix

Has anybody else thought of him and his very public decision to not renew his tickets? I wonder how he is feeling right now.

Yeah ... Too bad. It did a lot of good to tell everyone that you were canceling your tickets rather than just canceling them. Especially when hoke had lost exactly one home game up to that point. I guess I just don't get it.

So what?

The dude spoke with his wallet, which is typically the only way to send a message to invoke change. Clearly it's people like MGrowOld who made the university realize that they were going to be in trouble in about two years.

You win some, you lose some. But, I'm sure he'll be fine. If he can't get his tickets back, I'm sure he can upgrade his game day entertainment system.

It's just that at Michigan we always used to go regardless of how good the team was. Look at the 112000 fans every game during the RR era. Nebraska has 87000 every game. Once Brandon came it became a business thing. The brand the brand the brand. Now we have people who aren't renewing because they have unconditioned love for Michigan football but because we got a good coach. Brandon isn't here anymore and I'd rather treat it as the religion it used to be among our fans an not like a pizza that I buy when it's good and stay away from when it's bad.

It just wasn't him.  Lots of us dumped our tix.  I did.  Did you not see the '14 home sked???

I also live in Colorado and cannot make every home game.  Each season I go to a few games, give a game to my mom, and the others I sell (and used to come close to breaking even).  But when they only go for $25 per on StubHub, season tickets wasn't an expense I could justify anymore.

I'll get back on the list now though.

The tons of fans who sacrificed their tickets to send a message to the administration played valuable roles in this playing out. Don't break their balls about it, thank them.
