Lee Corso with the massive troll job on the Baylor fanbase. Singletary showing Michigan some love by picking against OSU.
I expect chaos today via Bama losing to MIzzou.

feels like football already ended
Also weird to me that TCU, being #3, still can't sell out their stadium

Watching TCU ISU right now. Mood here in Tucson a bit somber after last night's game. My wife's annual Christmas cookie exchange is today. I rescue the husbands who attend by having the games on. The ladies gather on one side of the room, while the guys huddle around the TV.

FSU, OSU and Baylor all lose.
Who's the 4th team? Arizona's also already out. Do you just keep FSU at 4?
No one has talked about this scenario, but it wouldn't shock me at all if all 3 teams lose and Bama and TCU take care of business.

I'd say Wisconsin or GT.

I think I'd still want FSU as that 4-seed.
None the less, I really think there's a solid chance of this scenario.
Everyone is talking this TCU/Baylor thing like no other. But let Baylor win before we worry about that.
The next "most talked about" scenario is "what if Alabama loses?" - does the SEC get a team?
But I would love to see ESPN talk about this situation because it opens up the flood gates for that 4th spot.

That would be unfortunate.

At least the Selection Show is 12:30p tomorrow and all these games are late tonight.
So it's not a full week, it'll be solved in 24 hours.

Sparty would not be in the discussion at all. There would be no debate about 10-2 MSU and 11-2 Wisconsin. MSU's best win is over Nebraska. Wisconsin hammered Nebreska and MSU barely beat them. Wisconsin would also have beaten OSU.
Its like saying Clemson would be ranked above GT if GT beats FSU. Its a joke.

How would it not be Kansas State?

7-0 TCU
Nice play

Nice to see our support and reaction during a coaching transition compared to similar situations at other schools.

One of the more intriguing stats so far, in my opinion, is that these two are a combined 2-14 on third downs right now. TCU is 1-8, Iowa State is 1-6. Despite Iowa State's record, they actually convert 3rd downs at decent clip, but when you generally aren't getting anywhere quickly on offense....well, we identify with that.
TCU, meanwhile, has got seven WRs with at least one catch and three guys with at least 50 yards receiving already (Josh Docston has 126 yards).

Gary Patterson has gotten 5, I repeat FIVE top 300 recruits total since winning the Rose Bowl in the 2010 season. He's now won a major conference and is in the playoffs. As far as current college coaches, I'd take him over Miles, Mullen, Sumlin, etc.

Forget about Gary Patterson.

I realize that most of us are somewhere in the 5 stages of mourning right now, but I have a question for people on here about the Playoff. I think we can all agree that Oregon-TCU would be one hell of a cool game to watch. TCU has a solid defense and an offense that can keep up with Oregon. But what about Bama? Who would everyone want to see play them? I feel like FSU would get killed, but I think it would be interesting to see what baylor could do against them. So that is my dream scenario. Bama-Baylor and Oregon-TCU. And even though I like the Big XII teams better, I would love to finally see that Oregon-Bama game.
December 6th, 2014 at 3:19 PM ^
for the reason you stated.
Honestly it's anyone but ohio state now. They would get beat but I don't want them to have the satisfaction of making the playoffs.
December 6th, 2014 at 4:07 PM ^
So, Oregon & TCU pretty much sealed up their spots (TCU pending Baylor possibly crushing KSU). Bama pretty much has to win to get in. I would laugh my ass off though if somehow Mizzou pulled off the the upset and the SEC was shut out of the 1st playoff after owning the BCS championship game for the last decade.
December 6th, 2014 at 4:42 PM ^
I'd love to see it, but not sure they would be. And if they were, we'd have to listen to the talking heads endlessly discounting the champion by reminding us no SEC teams were included, having knocked one another off.
