So, how many points would it take?

Hypothetically, let's say you are down $200 to you buddy after picking Michigan over Minnesota, and State over OSU.  Now he wants to go double or nothing on Saturday and will give you 21.  Are you still comfortable?  I am going to push for 28 and settle for 24.  Do you think that this is enough to comfortably watch the game up 24-0 to start?  I think that is a hell of a margin to overcome with our team trying their hearts out for Brady (assuming that they did not check out earlier in the season) and the fact that both coordinators are coaching possibly their last games for Michigan.  24 and I am in.  21, sadly, I am nervous.

You have a Michigan team playing the last game for their coach and a OSU team looking to get a style points win for a playoff spot. I'd take 21 points because it's a rivalry game and Michigan can play a decent Defense to keep it relatively close.

This is a blowout.

Ohio State has every reason to put the hammer down, needing a statement game for the sake of the playoffs.

Heck, given Hoke's Dead-Man-Clapping status, even going easy on us for the sake of perpetuating Hoke's tenure doesn't make sense for Ohio [State].

They even will have something to prove that last year was a fluke with us keeping it close (yes, I know it's crazy that WE lost last year, yet that gives Ohio something to prove, but there it is).  We won't even be catching them off-guard.

The recipe for confusing DG is well-known, reproducible, and easily executable by the Buckeyes.  They'll mess him up big time.

Ohio is going for the shutout at home.  The only way we get points (forget about winning... I'm talking about simply SCORING here) is for Ohio to turnover the ball deep in their own territory.  Then we might get a field goal.

My heart is all Michigan.  All "it's a rivalry game: anything can happen".

But when you're talking money, betting, point spreads, well, then the heart doesn't enter into it. The head wins out, and the head says this is a forty-something to, at most low teens. I'm thinkng 42-10 Ohio.

Wouldn't touch this unless I get 30 points.  Who knows if you get it?  But otherwise, throwing good money after bad.

In the meantime, I will take some solace (but not very much) in knowing that I won't be seeing DG at QB nor Hoke (probably!) as HC in Michigan anymore.  DG got a tough deal, and has been doing his best given all the OCs and injury, but he's brutal.  I half think that all these times Hoke has been telling us how great practice has been, what he meant was how great DG has been in practice, yet, inexplicably, falls apart come gametime when having to confront a real defense.

Sorry. You asked the question. That's how I see it.

I would be thrilled to be WRONG and downvoted heavily.

If I lose, my fees increase on Monday. If I win, I will buy shots Saturday at the pool bar here in Jamaica for anyone that says "Go Blue"! pay no attention that it is all inclusive and none of you are here. But next week meet me in Lambertville, MI and I will buy all night.
