Talk me on to the ledge: 11-1 I've got a very good feeling about this team, we finally have depth, experience. '14 = revenge tour.
- App State - Win
- ND - Win. They won't be able to move the ball on us.
- Miami, Utah, Minn, Rutgers....win win win win.
- PSU - Win. Woopin'.
- MSU - loss
- Indiana - Win.
- NW - Win. I don't like NW this year, at all.
- Maryland - Win.
- OSU - Win. No Miller, no problem.

still calling for the O$U game to be a loss after Miller went out. . .

Especially on NW; honestly I think they'll be lucky to get bowl eligible. The thing about this schedule is that every game is winnable. The defense should keep us in every game, and the offense is oozing with playmaking. All the OL has to do is show up. Can't wait for Saturday...

We get it. Michigan has struggled the last 7 years besides 2011. Can we just be hopeful for the new season starting in 4 days that has nothing to do with any past year instead of constantly dwelling on it.

my hope is that we beat the hell out of poor App State (sorry guys) and just excorcise all the demonds we've accumulated since the day the old man died in 2006.
Seriously, nothing has been the same since that day with respect to Football. It's time to time to win a damn Rose Bowl.

That game breakdown is possibly the worst game breakdown I've ever read. She might as well have said she had a coin that she flipped to get the decisions. No true analysis, just tidbits followed up by questions like "Will this be the year x does y?" GTFO.

I agree. That article was awful journalism. No analysis whatsoever, and the predictions would have been fully as meaningful with no text at all.

Good to see that even people who write with crayons are able to post comments on newpaper comment sections.
10-2 seems a bit high just because I figure they'll gack up a game here or there, and IU scares me until such time that UM shows it can defend a tempo offense without hilarious missteps, but 8-9 wins wouldn't surprise me.

But losing to MSU and OSU (again) will be tough to stomach and I just don't see us "taking care of business" in the remaining 10 games - they always is a game (or 2) that we lose when we are supposed to win.
I'm going with 8-4.

Angelique put Michigan as the third best team in the division and went "chalk." While I like the fact that she is giving Michigan more credit than most national people not named Jeremy Fowler are, I still think the Wolverines are going 3-0 for the "unwinnable road games" portion of the schedule.

on both counts.

I agree that the MSU hype train will go off the tracks, but don't see them losing to Maryland or Rutgers. I think Penn State and Nebraska are both potential losses, but don't see Sparty losing both.

I could see them losing @Maryland and I am buying MSU. Sorry the same people "not buying MSU" are equivalent to those in EL "not buying" Beilen. They have a very good progam and good coaching and are not going anywhere. They develop mid level recruits just like our basketball program does so they don't need the 5 stars or high 4 stars to be a good program - just like our bball. But they are starting to get some of those guys now - Malik, Larry Scott (#4 RB in the nation) that 2016 WR that just chose them, etc.
I expect them to slip next year when their schedule toughens up but they have all their tough games at home (UM, OSU, Neb) and only PSU on the road in conference. If we had that schedule people would be yelling we'd be undefeated in the conf if the OL was just "bad". And MSU has been better than us for the greater part of 4-5 years and is loaded with veterans in their 2 deep.
What will ill MSU this year is last year they had stellar defense and defense is consistent. No matter how bad their offense was for a week or three their defense was dominant. This year their offense will be better while their defense - while still good - will be a top 20 defense rather than top 3. So in some game they will have a slow offensive game and it depends what days those games are - if its against a doorknob it wont be an issue but if its against an average team it leads to a potential loss.
I see MSU either 9-3 or 10-2 this year, and winning our division. Next year I think they become a 4 loss type of team, but their schedule is just like ours - every other year everything goes in their favor in terms of tough games at home (for them its even years, for us odd years)
