Officially starting to hate Harbaugh. Setting a match to the program that he built. Says he loves Michigan and guts it. Was my favorite player and coach now i will not root for him again.

Harbaugh is such an asshole man. You've taken all the best parts of the program and leaving us with nothing.

We're going to fall off a cliff next year. It just seems we'll be like Auburn or LSU after their titles and just fade into the land of meh.

Good lord, quit whining.  Go talk Brady Hoke out of retirement if what you look for in a coach is someone who would walk to Ann Arbor and absolutely no other school or the NFL would want to poach.  I am thrilled with Jim and what he accomplished and do not begrudge him at all wanting to do the best he can for his new boss. I’m also fine with the choice of Sherrone and will pull for him completely.

The level of disrespect Wink Martindale gets is unreal.  He is an above average NFL DC who got NFL  head coach interviews the last few years. He created the defense Michigan had run the last few years. Acting like he is a random old guy or a worse hire than Clink or Elston is serious brain injury logic.

Wink Martindale was the best hire imaginable and here  here solely because of Harbaugh.

Great point. I’m certainly reacting out of emotion, not necessarily logic. But it’s hard to see something so special gone. But business is finished, right? The past few years have been amazing though. Absolutely incredible. The way they beat great teams…they just crushed them. The identity and culture the coaches and players established was truly special.

Hate to say this but I think it is becoming apparent now that Jim does a lot of things out of spite and because he doesn’t like authority. Maybe that’s why Warde had a problem with him.

Just read the tea leaves. He leaves the the 49ers after disagreements with Baalke and York. Not sure he ever wanted to leave the NFL and probably stayed in college longer than he ever wanted to. The pattern continues in college with all of the issues he has had since.

I‘m okay with it because that’s what innovators and driven people do. They don’t color within the lines. That’s how we got a national championship.

However, we are now seeing the downsides of this. I wouldn’t doubt that Jim feels that he is doing what’s best for his current team and believes that Sherrone is talented enough to make his own imprint on the program.  But it is coming at a tremendous short-term cost and really was done in an underhanded way. I now understand why Jim rubs many of his bosses the wrong way.

Im still happy. We are national champs and no great accomplishment comes without some sacrifices.

If we have to a rebuild, so be it. Just need to make sure to have patience with Sherrone. He thought he was getting the keys to a Ferrari. He is finding out how expensive it is to maintain a finely tuned machine.

Millionaire NFL players have personal trainers. A college program has a S&C coach to lead the kids as a group. Herbert is going to be bored but probably rich. Lifetime college guy yoinked. guy Elston our recruiting coordinator yoinked. I dunno he couldve found NFL peeps for these two roles. Clink also lifetime college guy. They may all ring hollow to NFL guys. We will see.

OK, now I'm annoyed. Jim, do you have to go after every single member of your former staff? Is there NO ONE in the NFL or CFB who might be as good as them? You're approaching Lincoln Riley territory.

I’ve got to say, stripping Michigan of almost all the effective coaching has me rooting against the Chargers. Not that it will make any difference but wow! I didnt think he would strip the team so badly.

November 16. The unexpected and hated acquiescence of the legal team and University. If I remember correctly, the slow drip at that time said one more coach was to be named soon.  The Big Ten said let's end this from our point of view and leave it to the NCAA.  Michigan suddenly said "deal", Harbaugh out for three more.  Is the current exodus a way of circumventing more NCAA questioning / axe grinding?  The exodus does seem defense focused.

Agree. Rather than viewing the defensive shakeup as poorly managed chaos, recognize it’s  a bold decision to judge the current personalities on the coaching staff lack requisite leadership skills for a championship team and bring in all new management with the same substantive expertise. Sherrone made a bold decision and we can only wait and see how it will play out

I hope this doesn't make Will Johnson think twice. The main reason people wanted Sherone was continuity. With all these departures there will be little continuity with a first time head coach possibly being in over his head. IMO this does not bode well.

I HOPE I AM COMPLETELY WRONG. But this whole thing is starting to feel like a Brady Hoke era.
