ESPN College Gameday - Will They Go to Ann Arbor for The Game, and How Should They Be Welcomed?

Submitted by WalterWhite_88 on November 2nd, 2023 at 4:51 PM

I think ESPN chickens out from coming to Ann Arbor for the OSU-Mich game this year. I think they know that they are going to get a very hostile treatment from the fans or perhaps the fans will boycott appearing at the College Gameday set altogether? They'll probably go to the Oregon/Oregon St game or Auburn/Bama game instead. They'll probably rationalize it as "for the safety of the crew". Anyway, that's my prediction.

If they do miraculously go to Ann Arbor for The Game, what would be the best way for the fans to treat them? It'll probably just be a bunch of booing for everyone except Desmond (although I wish he would stick up for Michigan with more intensity)... but I kind of like the idea of Michigan fans boycotting Gameday and not even showing up to the Gameday set. What do you all think?

Big Noon Kickoff should probably get somewhat negative treatment as well, as I heard that they were saying all sorts of stupid anti-Michigan stuff last Saturday.

Fuck ESPN.

They'll be there, but will Thamel? Doubt this coward shows his face.  He'll call in sick.

I'd like to see him sum up every hit piece in front of our glorious fans in Ann Arbor and find out what happens when "fuck around" meets "find out."

I suggest M fans show up in hordes, all screaming support for the team and Jim Harbaugh!  Nothing negative!  All positive about 〽️🏈!  We don't care about them, we only care about us, just the way the team treats everything.  The haters are a nameless, faceless obstacle, period.

I like your thinking.  Rise above, keep it positive and classy with a possible exception for OSU is tough as Charmin funny type stuff.  Remember Desmond is one of us, a great guy, and deserves our support imho.  Likely to be the biggest game of year at that point so would be surprised if they don't come.  Win the game.  Go Blue !

Don't be ridiculous. If both teams are undefeated, it will absolutely be the premier game of the day; 2v3 at worst, and potentially 1v2. And they WILL milk this BS for 99 44/100 of the broadcast.

Their desire for higher ratings will overcome any trepidation about coming to Ann Arbor. The Michigan sign stealing story is the biggest story of the year. Pair that with #1 OSU vs #2 Michigan and they would be fools to broadcast Gameday from anywhere else.

It would be nice if really personal, embarrassing dirt was discovered about all of these clowns (except Desmond), and that info was given to the fan base to make signs accordingly.  If only an organization, or maybe even a university, had the resources to accomplish such a feat ……..

I’ll be at The Game, Will tailgate, and don’t plan to stop by either location.  However, if Charles or Desmond stops by, they’re welcome to join us and partake in the festivities.

It’s quite obvious they have an agenda to spread. It may just be that any “controversy” makes money but this is targeted and irresponsible. Again, have you given us 1 thing that’s verifiable? No? Why not? Do you not have actual info? Yes let’s go with that.

ESPN is not welcome here.  If they decide to come here I'm going to harm them or threaten them or anything unacceptable, but I'm sure they will be made to feel unwelcome.
