OT - LeBron James scores 61

Submitted by MGoChippewa on

LeBron James scored 61 points against the Bobcats tonight.  22-33 FG, 8-10 3P, 9-12 FT, 7 REB, 5 AST, 2 TO.  I've already seen quite a few people on Twitter say "Well it's against the Bobcats", to which the correct response is: Yes, the Bobcats have the 6th best defense in the league, per possession.  Impressive performance, whether you like the guy or not.

On a local note, Andre Drummond pulled down 26 rebounds in a win  :( over the Knicks.  Most rebounds by a Pistons player since Ben Wallace had 28 in 2002.

Yea not impressed. Kobe dropped 63 in3 qtrs against a playoff contender like the mavs. And 61 in 3 versus the wizards I believe. So yawn for the walkin talkin player infomercial.

I just don't see anybody else in the NBA that is on LeBron's level. He is a complete player and he is insanely dominant. As a Cavs fan, I can't help but miss watching him play in the wine and gold uniform-such a special player.

Then , for the most part, superstars tried to get a ring where they were drafted. Cleveland got to a the Finals with Bron so he should've stayed and tried to win with his hometown team.

The "he should've stayed with his hometown team" statements irk me. Cleveland should have surrounded him with better players. Other than that finals year (which Lebron single handedly carried an above average Cave team) their teams were made up of below average talent being bailed out by Lebron every night. Lebron wanted to win championships. He was never going to get that in Cleveland, as evidence by the state of that franchise ever since the day he left. Also, I don't know if you've ever been to Ohio, but it is boring as hell. There is literally nothing to do there and nothing interesting about it other than maybe Cedar Point.
