2022 LB Keaten Wade names M to top 9
A relatively new name on the radar is linebacker Keaten Wade from Spring Hill (TN) Summit. He's 6'4", 210 lbs. and is a 4-star, the #17 outside linebacker, and #193 overall. Normally making a top 9 for a kid from SEC country might not be a big deal, but with two other Tennesseans committing to Michigan in the last week, the interest here is perhaps more noteworthy.

his hudl lists him as 6' 5" and 225. what do you project him to be in college, WDE? or with our new DC, would he still be a LB, but in the stand up mode playing a 2-4-5 or something like that?

Probably some kind of rush end or TJ Watt-esque position? I was watching film on Joshua Burnham and was thinking he looks like he could be a TJ Watt type in the 3-4 defense as well.

I think he would play a Matt Judon role if I'm projecting him to Baltimore's defense.

Would you prefer him or Justice Finkley in the Matt Judon role for this class? He is another one with strong interest in Michigan who has been compared to Matt Judon for his role on the defense.

I don't understand that comparison at all. Judon is an edge player. Finkley is a Carlo Kemp type of guy, someone who's going to play with his hand down that you can move around on the defensive line.

Isn't Judon the comparison that Mike MacDonald used for Finkley? Do you think this is a "everybody is a viper because everybody wants to be Jabrill" situation?

Maybe try that 3-0-8 defense.

it's morphed again already, now the 0-0-11.

Speed everywhere! Blinding speed all over the field! As the SEC says - 'speed kills'!!!
(We just don't know who it's going to kill, yet...)

Thread jack-ish: this guy just transferred to Junior Colson’s former high school. It’ll be interesting to see how he develops:

Ok, I've got a confession to make. Shortly after moving to Nasville last summer I quit my job in medical device sales to become a Michigan booster/bagman. Instead of handing out McDonald's bags full of cash I use Maize and Blue Deli bags of cash along with a #69 Maize N' Blue Special, hold the tomato.
It's been a busy few months down here.

I've covered Summit football before around the Nashville area. They just won the state championship. Keaten's twin brother, Destin, is an incredible quaterback too. Could be a package deal where ever they end up. Both are big time players.

Destin Wade also put out a top 9, though his didn't include Michigan. I don't think we've actually offered him so I think that could probably change.
