So far, out of 60 starting NFL linemen, I’m guessing 8 or 9 of them would be good enough to be in Hei2man’s college football team lol. Not trying to pile on just having a little fun. I actually am a bit of a star gazer myself at nearly every other position group other than OT.

Actually that is true. Someone just posted yesterday about the rankings of the OL in the pro bowl. Spoiler alert; 2.4. You can’t just immediately say people are wrong. I mean I get it, it’s not Brian Dohn west coast analysts for 247 sports who said it, so it makes it hard for you to be a believer.

OL is one position where ranking does not scare me too much. But to the people that are quick to dis Maizen, 3 stars are not how you win national titles. I think everyone here knows that.

Exactly. Everyone wants 5*s and the board goes nuts when we get one, like Dax. But the issue with Shawn is hes made at least 6 accounts, refuses to own up to past bannings and bullshit hot takes, and is constantly throwing a temper tantrum like the football program is personally beholden to him.
Regardless of how good each individual recruit is, no one should be shitting on them in a hello post as it's been proven that the kid and their families usually read the hello posts on mgoblog. Congratulate the kid who the coaches liked enough to give him a free education at our favorite university.

It's so tiresome. He repeats the same thing over and over and over and over. He provokes the same argument every damn time and people engage him. I vow to do what people that know him in real life undoubtedly do, complete ignore everything Maizen posts. No replies, no downvotes, no upvotes even if he says something insightful on another topic.
It's a shame this site doesn't allow you to block users or hide posts. Ignoring him and not getting threads hijacked by the same stupid argument is the best we can do.

That’s a great take, Gucci. I just looked at 247 tackle rankings.. OSU has the #1 and #14 tackles committed and are in the hunt for #8.
UM has Warinner tho and he has sent 3 star players to the league and if better recruits commit, this LOI never gets signed.

hes OL, where theyve brought in a nice mix of 4 star OL and lesser rated dudes. im not really seeing the argument at this point. hes a big kid, looks like he can run, and plays at a school where they no doubt want to make inroads.
if you wanted to question RB recruiting (where theyve struggled prior to landing the top ranked 2019 kid on their board) or LB (where theyve likely settled for less than top of their board athletes in the last class or 2), i could see it

Jon Runyan Jr was #1138th and was all conference this year.
Ben Mason was #817th and has been pretty good.
Josh Uche was #707 and led the team in sacks and was honor-mention all conference.
I could go on, but you get the picture. You're bad at being a troll and should probably figure out something else to do with your time before you get banned again and create another very-obvious user name you totally think is clever.

Hey Hei2man: Have you ever considered dropping off your resume with the athletic department? What about creating a website or writing a book with all your recruiting insight? We absolutely need you to get you somehow connected to Harbaugh so that you can get your wisdom directly to him. As smart as he is, he clearly doesn't know he needs to recruit better players in order to win, and it's obvious that he needs you to tell him the unvarnished truth. You alone are the only one in the whole universe of UM coaches, athletic department staff, boosters, fans, etc. who has the clarity of vision to see that having better players makes a team better. I know I wish I had thought of that, but I lack that piercing intelligence, and courage to go against the grain that you just have in spades. I would bet any amount of money that if you were able to get your message to him, he would have a reaction something like this "Recruit better players? Of course! I never thought of that before!! I am forever in your debt, Hei2man!!!"
...and by the way: I know I'm not up to your intellectual level, but I have a great idea for the title of that book I think you should write: "Recruit 5-stars; not 3-stars". Good, isn't it?

I'd tend to agree, but if a former Michigan coach/ analyst, who is a current HS coach and sent his kid to Michigan says one of his players is a baller and the Michigan coaches agree, I'd take that over Rivals/ 247 any day.
