OT: Red Wings @ Blackhawks Game 7 Open Thread
The top-seeded Blackhawks have battled back from a 3-1 series defecit to force a decisive game 7 in Chicago. This has been a great back-and-forth series, and is a fitting way to end the in-conference rivalry between these two great Original Six franchises.
Zetterberg and Datsyuk have come up huge when it has mattered most for the Wings, both this season and in years past. Jimmy has been phenomenal in net this year, and he may have what it takes to steal this game in Quick-like fashion. Toews seems to have found his game a little bit in the last few games (when he is not whining), and Crawford has been solid in net despite 1 bad goal. This should be a nerve-racking affair.

I'm heading off to the United Center shortly, and I'm hoping it will get quiet in there real quickly.
LET'S GO RED WINGS
mentioned Chicago has 4 FA's to sign and only 2 million cap space.
I'm going to vomit in my freezer, scrape it into a granita, force feed it to Jonathan Toews, and then make him enter Mordor right through the black gate.
Suck it Blackhawks
Well that was the most nervous I have been since 2011 in St. Paul. Same damn result.
We win this series with Lidstrom. My sense is we low-balled the guy or at least didn't show enough interest for him to come back. Tonight we paid for it.
Or a 43 year old father wanted to spend more time with his 4 kids while they grow up.
Lot of young Red Wings were injured
Team has high potential especially with healthy DeKeyser coming back next season
They overachieved and went a lot further than I thought they'd go. I thought Chicago would beat them. I never even though that the Wings would push Chicago to the brink with a 3-1 lead.
Chicago is a good team. There is no shame losing to the best team in hockey. Go get them next year.
Was I the only one who thought that hit by Bolland should have been a boarding call right before the goal was scored?
