Wilkins leaving team
DL Kenny Wilkins, TE Nate Allspach, S Drew Offerdahl won't be back, per Michigan
— Kyle Meinke (@kmeinke) March 14, 2013
Wilkins is the most important person on that list, since IIRC he's the only scholarship player of the bunch. Which means Hoke is now only one away from getting to 85 scholarships. Anyone know if this was the rumored injured player or something else?

I had so much hope for him.

Antonio Poole was/is the rumored injury player - this, to me at least, seems more like he wasn't going to get playing time here so is going to move on to somewhere where he will, type situation. Best of luck to him.

It's a shame as I remember him being relatively hyped when he first signed. Too bad to hear he is leaving. The interesting part is we are now at 86 without further attrition, wonder where that last scholarship is coming from. Hope he ends up well.

We just get the rosters set on MGoBlog and the coaches start screwing around with things.
The bloggers are blogging their tail off, and the coaches are screwing it up!

Aw shucks, I won the Nagruski and Lombardi awards with him in my NCAA Dynasty a couple years ago. Guess I'll just have to buy the new one once it comes out, eh? Catch my drift?

I have not heard anything about Wilkins being injured. He's been buried on the bench for three years and hasn't played a single down, IIRC. He came in looking like a strongside end and ballooned up to NT size. From what I heard, he just never showed much intensity on the field or in the weight room, so this isn't much of a surprise.

By the way, there are now just 11 members remaining of the 27-man class of 2010.

With Hagerup hanging on by a thread.
Don't you mean...Haging on...
Ricardo Miller has officially left too according to Kyle Meinke. I know that was expected, but was that scholarship counted in the 85 that you are refering to? That would get us to 85 if so.
I am pretty sure his scholorship was already taken away from that number. He left the team a few months ago.
He has already been removed from the equation. Still at 86.
Ricardo left!!???
Yes.
Hagerup still suspended according to Coach Hoke per detnews article.
I'm surprised he hasn't been cut yet. Wile has proven to be an effective punter and as far as I can tell.
UMASS is collecting quite the football team
....as well as Nate Allspach and Drew Offerdahl. As I recall, Kenny Wilkins was a four-star according to Rivals and one of the top 20 recruits at WDE in 2010 (I thought another service listed him as an OLB recruit too). Best of luck to all three of these guys.
The last one will be Hagerup or one of the injured LBs (Poole / Ringer). TOTAL GUESS BASED ON WILD SPECULATION.
[Edit: Chris Bryant can be added to the list as well]
In less than 3 years it looks like Kenny put up between 50-60+ pounds depending on Scouts or Rivals HS Profile. He is listed now at 294. I am guessing that isn't all "good weight," because if it was he would of been in there last year when we were thin up front.
All the best to him though.
Although you could be right, I don't think most of that is bad weight, nor do I think that's why he's off the team. I'm sure a chunk of that is flab, but he came in at around 245 (Rivals had him at 244 as a recruit) and was quite trim. Before he showed up he was a guy many felt had the frame to add a lot of good weight, which is why most thought he'd end up at SDE.
So maybe he put on 30 pounds of muscle and 20 of fat, which really isn't a huge deal for a guy who had very little fat to start with and who was slotted for the DL. With his athleticism, it could have been 20 and 30 and he would have been fine for a DT, which is why I think it was a lot more than weight gain (he wasn't good at football) that led to his departure.
Best of luck to him/them.
Yes. Here are his high school highlights:
