One thing I noticed is that Pipkins takes cut blocks really well. He seems to be one only one that never loses his feet. Slows is down a bit, but he just shoves the person down and then steps over them. Everyone else seems to end up on their face.

must have loaned him his +2 Ring of Nibleness, he was always good at defeating those.

Things I noticed:
A) They kept the Purdue receivers mostly in front of them and tackled quickly after the catch, not much YAC.
2) They didn't allow very many big plays, they really had Purdue bottled up most of the day.

I would say Gallon has "it" returning punts as well. It being not fumbling and not letting the ball hit the ground and roll. Who knows how Dileo would respond if he had full time duties. Now, I don't mind having two returners back there, but Gallon has done a great job of not putting our team in terrible positions with terrible decisions returning punts these last two seasons.

Dileo has fielded a few punts over the last two years and I don't recall him dropping any. He seems to have really dependable hands.

1) excellent edge contain by Roh and Ryan all day
2) linebackers flowing as a unit to the football and not being hesitant
3) solid tackling by our corners on the edge. Especially Taylor, he had a couple WR screens that he thumped guys for no YAC

Taylor's a very physical DB. When he came out of HS I thought he might grow into a FS because of how hard he hit guys. He's not the biggest guy, but it really doesn't matter because he plays like he weighs 200+ pounds. I want to see how he hits when he's an upperclassman with some bulk.

That was some sexy defense right there.

Purdue had 0 first downs in the 1st quarter, 0 3rd down conversions and 24 rushing yards in the 1st half, 1 third down conversion and 56 rushing yards for the game. Nice

I like when a punt return is followed by a kickoff

I was really impressed with the performance of Cam Gordon after watching this, and I must admit that I did not appreciate his work during the live telecast. It is wonderful to see the depth that we have at the LB position moving forward.
