Damn mobile app glitch....and I'm guessing it's because other teams lost players or didn't get who they thought they would. If it was a M commit, the boards would be blowing up right now

They're probably just a little late factoring Norfleet in the rankings. It's espn, who cares

Scout has us at 4--so it seems ESPN is pretty much the same as the other services. If you think they don't know what they are talking about, then you've damned the other services as well.

I think ESPN is anticipating a Yuri Wright commit since he is supposed to be on campus this weekend.

D-Hart.

The better question is: why are you watching espn rankings change at 1:30 am?
February 2nd, 2012 at 1:35 AM ^
Norfleet possibly.

Could it be Demar? Or maybe TacoPants was given a full ride to Ohio since Braxton Miller seemed to connect well with him.

Thank god we moved up one spot in espn rankings. Now i don't have to worry about this being a good class

If we get Diamond and Kozan, we could be consensus top 5 among all 3 rankings.
That is fantastic for the program. We are ahead of recruiting "powerhouses" with all of the advantages we supposedly don't have, like USC, LSU, Oklahoma, Miami, Oregon, Notre Dame, etc.

No, really. In the last 24 hours someone over at ESPN wanted to save face, given that all three competing recruiting services have Norfleet as a 4-star, top 20 at RB or APB, and a top 250 prospect. That's a lot of consistency, as far as recruiting goes. So ESPN gave him a bump; all the way from being the #81 RB to #80.
I'm pretty sure that is what put us over the hump. /s
In all reality, I had assumed there may have been a bump if someone at ESPN had seen all the press about the huge addition of 4-star Norfleet (including their own press, which simply leaves out the 4-star part) and thought to themselves "maybe we should re-evaluate this kid, given he's had a dominant senior year that wasn't included in our first analysis of him," and after said analysis, gave the kid his well-deserved 4-star status; however, this was not the case, and where a 4-star bump of Norfleet would make sense, in regards to both his talent and the rankings bump of Michigan, it is evident that instead Michigan got credit for a "phantom-4-star" RB which would allow for a more accurate analysis of the class wilst saving face on the obvious oversight of their recruiting gurus (obviously not the fault of TVH.)
That was one hell of a run-on sentence. But such was my tribute to Fleet, who will run on, and on, and on... with his only limitation being a 100-yd field. I will be rooting for our phantom-4-star to throw egg in the face of ESPN bias for the next four years.
Go Blue!

I find Rivals and Scout more reliable.
