Braylon Edwards Gives Back
http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=7370634
This is really cool - makes me proud to be a Wolverine. Way to go, Braylon!
Summary - Braylon gives 10k to 100 kids in Cleveland to go to college - video posted on ESPN, 12/19.

Wanna give us a snipet of what your link actually says? Lazy posting around here lately.

It is the same old pay $10,000 for 100 Cleveland kids to go to college. Good for Braylon...I suppose worth another post...

if including the title of the video in the header consitutes "lazy" - but to each their own. Summary added for those unwilling to click link (and/or boycott ESPN) :)

You wrote "Braylon Give Back," pasted the link and said you were proud of Braylon. That's not a thread, that's a link dump. If you're going to start a forum thread here about a video or article you found, you can't just paste the link and be done. Let us know what the article or video is about with a brief synopsis. Tell me what Braylon did. Tell me why you're proud of him. That way I can appreciate your post without clicking the link, but if I want the whole story, I can watch the video.
I don't want to be a jerk, but there are things that make MGoBoard better than you average forum.

how about you whine a little bit more? Click on the goddamn link, I felt the OP did more than enough. I'm tired of people complaining so much about "posting etiquette". Its a reason why so many people like myself just read articles, diaries, and post on here and don't actually post in the forums (been reading for years without a single post). Who wants to deal with all the "posting etiquette" and backlash from the "peanut gallery" b/c your posts isn't exaclty how they would want it.
Nice post OP. Don't listen to this guy. Some of us don't need an article spoon-fed to us to appreciate it.

Smokey, this is not 'Nam. This is bowling. There are rules.

...about a promise Braylon made to 100 8th grade kids in Cleveland back when he was a rookie. He vowed to give each of them $10,000 toward college if they graduated with a 2.5 GPA, performed community service, and became "exemplary" students. 79 out of 100 came through on their end of the deal, and Braylon followed through with his end.
Thanks for the post, OP. Really nice clip.

That's very cool. It's nice to see the athletes who spend some of their millions in good ways.

The kid with the 2.49 is really pissed.

Ha! That sounds just like an Office episode.

21 didn't get a 2.5? Wow. I'd release 1,000s of leaches into Mirrior Lake the Thursday before The Game for $10,000. Actually I did that for free!

Braylon gets a really bad rep for some of his actions on the field and that club incident w/ Lebron, but he does give a ton back to Michigan and the community. I'm glad he's a wolverine

Braylon will forever be my all-time favorite Wolverine. I am so glad I was able to meet him and get his autograph on my number 1 jersey at Browns camp when he was in Ctown. It is framed, but I don't know how to post the picture online so I can put the picture in this post.

I hope this is all under the condition that none of these kids attend Ohio State. Especially for football.
December 20th, 2011 at 8:41 PM ^
Pretty sure that if they went to Ohio for football they wouldn't need any help with tuition.
For that matter, they wouldn't need money for cars or tattoos either. But they also wouldn't turn down $10K.

I met Braylon last summer at a bar in Novi. He bought myself and all my friends a couple rounds of drinks and actually hung out with us for a while. Obviously not a college scholarship, but he was very friendly and approachable and made a few Michigan fans nights.
He's good in my book.

He's always at South in Birmingham during the offseason acting an ass.

you're not a fan of MNF, since they ran a segment on this before the game. Someone already posted this on here prior to that as well.

I really did - go see for yourself (sorry won't summarize unless you want me to spoil it).
Also, the map at the end doesn't show a Michigan pennant. Ironic considering the philanthropist's alma mater...

I like that he can he can formulate and articulate a real sentence. He sounds intelligent unlike some players from Ohio ("everyone kills people, steals from you steals from me).

Are you sure he's not just promising this to kids, and then he'll really just end up giving them laptop batteries and pay for one of the kid's textbooks each year?
