NCAA 2010 - PS3 Dynasty
I am going to start a PS3 online dynasty tonight. I would like to add some mgobloggers to the league.

I would say use the message screen on the front of the dynasty page or use this forum to schedule.
Might we consider switching the quarter length to 6 minutes because 5 minutes is hardly long enough to see the results of what a real game might look like at the end.
Well, I had 52 runs and 6 passes against Alabama. So I think in terms of #s of plays it's about right.

as long as you dont run chew clock all day, 5 min quarters usually makes for enough plays/scoring as a regular game.
I only had 32 offensive plays in my game last night, compared to over 50 for my opponent. I think that much of this can be accredited to my strategy which quickly morphed into rock, rock, rock, punt Mike DeBord style playcalling after I jumped out to a 14-3 lead in the first quarter.
I am still happy with 5 min quarters. It has potential to be a little bit of a high variance strategy when chew-clock is enabled, but still, I think its traditional and seems to be the most sensible.
Well I had about 310 yards and Smassie had about 125 at most. I had chew clock on for maybe 2 minutes of the game. It didn't seem like I had enough plays for a normal game.
we should start a new thread that is closer to the front page? Will this go away after it passes the 12th page, or does it just save everything into infinity? I just don't really know how it works... It is going to be crazy battling with all of you for the recruits! If anyone needs help scheduling times to play, we could set up an online thread that focuses on seeing when everyone has time to do it.
I was definitely surprised (and moderately disappointed) to see many other schools on the leaderboards of recruits I am going after. I feel very confident about beating a CPU team out for any prospect, really, but going up against everyone here is definitely going to be tough. Let the negative recruiting begin!

4 days sounds reasonable to me.
but make it 5 if it crosses a weekend. My weekends tend to be busy.

FSU vs Cal went down last night. 21-3 win for the Noles.
That win is sure to be vacated eventually, so don't get too down Cal owner.
I'm trying to run a clean program here. I'm cracking down on the boosters, and everyone is going to class. My #1 recruiting class this season will most certainly be legit.
Did anyone get week one commitments by simply offering them? I got two 4 star SS's and one is a Top 100 recruit.
I snagged a 4* DE (#6 at his position) with an early offer. I didn't look very hard into him before offering. I was surprised to see that he was 6'0 and weighed in at 200 lbs. This one will be a project for sure. FML!
Move to TE or FB? Or possibly LB if he's fast enough.
ya, ill have to look into that. he didn't run incredibly fast (4.6 range) so it may end up being FB.
is pretty cool that this league will lead us right into the season. Looking at the schedule of our games, the start of the season seems so close... I can't wait to go to the BIG HOUSE!!! I'm cool with every 4 days also.

I see that you played but if they're not on when it's almost time for advance, you ask the commissioner to set the other person to auto-pilot and then you can play vs. the CPU

I don't have injury problems, but every game 3 or 4 people get hurt, which is pretty annoying.

Around 9:30 would be ideal. What works for you? I'm heading to Chicago for lollapalooza Thursday after work, so Wed. is the only night that works.

I am way too late to join this dynasty, but is anyone still interested in starting a new dynasty? Or is it possible for me to join one in progress? I want to post my own thread about this, but am new to the site and don't have enough points yet...
