OT: Maui Invitational Other Games Open Thread
The vols are hanging with duke early. Little shocking. tennessee leads 21-16 with a little under 12 left in the first.

Chaminade also takes on UCLA later at 9:30pm. If UCLA loses, I will die of laughing.

so am I the only one that wants duke to win so we can get a peace of them?
November 21st, 2011 at 6:07 PM ^
no, I would also rather play Duke.

I am rooting hard for Duke for the second time in a pretty short time span. It feels very strange.

Completely with you on this one. I'd love to see Michigan "upset" two top 10 teams in two days!

Yes. However I want Michigan to win this whole thing. So whatever benefits Michigan the most, I want to win.

I'm glad that all the other teams are still wearing the same terrible warm up shirts. What is that color? Looks like crap. Michigan is NOT baby blue. I for one don't support Adidas telling the team what colors to wear and dressing them like 5 year olds.

I think Duke is overrated, but I hope they hold on because a Michigan victory over Duke would look good regardless of whether they're down this year.

Anybody recall the 3 teams the Fab Five beat in their sophmore season in a Maui? Was it Maui? . North Carolina, Kansas and ???
EDIT: It was Nebraska that Michigan beat in the first round, then North Carolina, then Kansas to take home the hardware. Awesome tournament. And yes it was Maui

Not the Maui--that was actually the Rainbow Classic, played in Honolulu.

Go Hoyas!! I hope Michigan does not play them until the finals, which I think is the case since Gtown plays Memphis at some point in Dec.

UT counters Duke's ugly white players with the most beautiful man in college basketball.

Neither team has solid low post offense. Also, a lot of players are +/- players. (spot shooters that can't create, rebounders that can't score, penetrators that can't shoot, etc)

Tim Hardaway would school Del Curry or Doc Rivers. Just saying.

Burke would have fits with Golden, he's a very strong, physical point guard. Of course alot of guards are going to have problems checking Golden.

not sure hardaway is quick enough to guard rivers. at least i was sitting was there are remember clearly when nolan crossed his ankles. i feel they have to put burke on curry on though.
i think whoever wins the Smot/RKelly matchup will have a good chance of winning the game
