He was MAC player of the year when he was at CMU, if I am not mistaken....

Girlfriend's roommate has the new Tim Allen show on instead...
I do kinda miss Home Improvement though.
November 8th, 2011 at 8:20 PM ^
Is the show any good? Loved Tim in HI, but he hasn't done much other than the Santa Claus movies and Toy Story since.
November 8th, 2011 at 8:25 PM ^
Seems like a typical sitcom, this one is about his daughter trying out for some America's Next Top Model deal. Some funny one-liners and a big time laugh track. Seems to be concentrating on the kids more than the parents, but that could just be the episode, I don't know.

Can GERG coach two defenses at the same time? Stay tuned, folks.
November 8th, 2011 at 8:25 PM ^
I think I saw this MAC game already...
November 8th, 2011 at 8:28 PM ^
I was trying to provide a little distraction / light discussion here...

Last week NIU beat UT 63 - 60. One minute in and its 7 all. Should be a good one!
November 8th, 2011 at 8:22 PM ^

Hey Lorne, while you're here...
What's up with the power outage last week? It was pretty awesome for your guys to force a building evacuation and let me have a 90 minute lunch. Any chance you can fry the grid this Friday at about 11:30?
November 8th, 2011 at 8:27 PM ^
You mean what happened on Central Campus? Oddly enough, the power plant over on Huron actually powers most of the buildings affected. We have interconnections with the University's system, however, and I think we lost a switch cabinet or two. You give me an address and I'll see if I can't get a crew to flip the fuses for a supposed "emergency". LOL
November 8th, 2011 at 8:31 PM ^
Hatcher Library. I'm the only guy in my office with a laptop so my computer stayed on. I got a long lunch and to watch my coworkers rip their hair out over the lost work. So feel free to crash the library whenever you want. No skin off my nose.
November 8th, 2011 at 8:35 PM ^
Hatcher is actually powered by the power plant. We're the backup feed (truth be told, you wouldn't want to be on the nearest Edison circuit very long), but apparently nobody told us to turn on the juice in lieu of repairs, or the automatic switch failed. I've been in the basement. I bet it's the latter.
November 8th, 2011 at 8:38 PM ^
Consdering the main data center for the Library is in the Hatcher basement it's not like we need a backup power solution or anything like that...argh!
November 8th, 2011 at 8:42 PM ^
....The University and Detroit Edison is...interesting. Lest I name names, I shouldn't say much else. I dare say that if there is anyone on the boards that works for facilities, you might very well have met me at some point or another if the University was dealing with Edison on some issue.
November 8th, 2011 at 8:36 PM ^
I remember the logo they put on Maintenance vans..."We make BLUE GO". We also make BLUE STOP, as it were. :-)
November 8th, 2011 at 8:25 PM ^
Why is this game the one that gets a topic? Western-Toledo is on too, and that includes and in-state team and Michigan opponent. Probably should be more of interest to most on the board.
November 8th, 2011 at 8:26 PM ^
This one is on ESPN3
November 8th, 2011 at 8:28 PM ^
One is on ESPN 2, the other on ESPNU and ESPN 3. Some people probably don't get the Toledo game while most get the Falcons and Huskies
November 8th, 2011 at 8:37 PM ^
WMU up 14-0 on Toledo. What now, people who picked Toledo to win the MAC!?
November 8th, 2011 at 8:48 PM ^
brah. Ain't no quit in the Toledo Torpedoes (it would've been the better mascot, if only for rhyming purposes).
November 8th, 2011 at 8:50 PM ^
As soon as I posted that Toledo started beating the snot out of WMU and now they're up 21-14. Shows how smart I am :)
November 9th, 2011 at 12:10 AM ^
Always thought UnivToledo would make a good catholic school,... (wait for it)... then they could be Holy Toledo!!
(I crack myself up!)

Woot...Go Western.....EMU still has a shot at things....
November 8th, 2011 at 8:40 PM ^
NIU has some real cute water bottle girls.
November 8th, 2011 at 8:41 PM ^
why doesn't espn move more high profile games to Tuesdays and Wednesdays?
November 8th, 2011 at 8:52 PM ^
No one in the MAC plays defense anymore?
November 8th, 2011 at 8:54 PM ^
Are those the guys who try to create turnovers?
November 8th, 2011 at 10:38 PM ^
The EMU-WMU game was 14-10.
November 8th, 2011 at 8:58 PM ^
It doesn't work in the MAC apparently....odd....
November 8th, 2011 at 9:01 PM ^
I liked the RB running around his own blockers on the screen to get tackled. Great 3rd and 10 play.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:09 PM ^
Is BGSU going with the 4 / 2.5 / 4.5 flex there? Should Gary Patterson be concerned about scheme plagiarism?
November 8th, 2011 at 9:11 PM ^
Tremendous punt.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:18 PM ^
It's too bad only about 10 people saw it. That is about how many people seemed to be in the stands.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:20 PM ^
I never got why teams don't carry two punters. A lot of teams carry two kickers. One who is accurate for FGs and one with a big leg for kickoffs. Why not carry one punter with a big leg and one who is an expert at coffin kicking.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:25 PM ^
I also wonder what about that last play was associated with a photo of the most interesting man in the world....
November 8th, 2011 at 9:26 PM ^
Well I'm assuming rhino is a power play. Dave maybe.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:31 PM ^
Except that it is hard to really have a power play, especially on defense, when you can only tackle gingerly (sounds like something Chomsky would say if he was a football person).
November 8th, 2011 at 9:36 PM ^
You'd think there would have to be something more than just two items to control your play calls. Way too easy to figure out over the course of the season. Some way you could change it or a few pictures that are random garbage to confuse the defense.
Well time for me to bow out. Have to go be social with my wife's friends (hooray). Hopefully the second half treats you well.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:29 PM ^
Way to rip on your sick coworker guys. Way to be classy.
November 8th, 2011 at 9:53 PM ^
28-28, 8 combined turnovers.
November 8th, 2011 at 11:01 PM ^
1000 yards, 13 touchdowns, 8 turnovers, 6 punts.
And still 18 minutes to play.

Toledo drives for a bit, and fumbles it back! That's one way to gain field position.

November 9th, 2011 at 12:12 AM ^
Most points scored by the losing team in regulation, and most first downs by both teams in a game (72).
