Don't walk to your car lest you be struck down by the wrath of the hail

Hail! Hail!

All of it went south of us here in Grand Rapids. Cloudy, but not a drop of rain yet.

7 minutes from the Stadium...7:58 pm...windy, not a drop of rain all day. But I sense it's coming...

On Hamilton. I'm pretty sure this is a borderline typhoon.

"michigan stadium fatalities lightning" and all I got was "Michigan Stadium cleared due to lightning (9-3-11)." Is this something new? I've been watching college football on TV for 42 years and I've never seen a weather delay. Statistical outlier, or is something new going on?

Today was the second time at Michigan Stadium and the first that the game got called early. We had a weather delay in 2006 vs Central Michigan.

They won't call a game due to snow. Lightning's the thing.

Around the time lightning hit Lee Corso's car, they started realizing that there was real danger, then started the whole "6 mile radius" thing.

Smoke stack thingy near Angell might be blowed up

Something big happened to that steam tunnel system. Diag full of cops left of front of angell and "roaring" steam sound

Damn cops made me leave. Oh well.

In 20+ years, I have never needed BOTH sunscreen AND a rain poncho for the same game. On the way to the game, it was 97. On the way home, it was 70.

I'm still fucking soaked. The weather driving back up US 23 didn't clear up until Fenton. Still, wouldn't trade it for anything.

We've got 103,000 out of power right now. I am expecting my boss to call at any moment....

North Campus area (Plymouth and North) had no power anywhere from before I got home (around 9) to 10:30. All the street lights and traffic signals were out and everything.

took a lot out of me. I was already running on 3 hours of sleep (too excited/hot to sleep last night), and now here I am, still awake. But the heat took a ton out of me today. The rain was fun. I can't believe how loud it got in the stadium during the driving rain.

I thought that one dude guaranteed the storm would miss Ann Arbor and laughed at David in Wyoming when he was told that there was no way you could accurately predict where a storm would go over 48 hours in advance.
