all bcs teams roll tonight that's my take
September 1st, 2011 at 6:02 PM ^
Happy first college football day!
Beer for everyoneeeee!
September 1st, 2011 at 6:05 PM ^
I've got no work, the gal is out of town for the weekend, and it is on like Donkey Kong.
Remove pants: Check
Wolf down bacon-wrapped hot dogs: Check
Crack open a High Life: Check
Now I just need the Rebels to pull the upset in a couple of hours.
September 1st, 2011 at 9:13 PM ^
Holy shit, man!
Don't you have enough money to buy beer that doesn't taste like the piss from someone who's just consumed a case of cheap beer? That shit's awful. Just as bad as Miller LITE.
September 1st, 2011 at 9:16 PM ^
I once resorted to drinking 40 oz. PBRs due to a shortage of funds. That was a shitty decision when I got up the next morning. For some reason I get a hangover off of cheap beer but not quality beer.
September 1st, 2011 at 9:35 PM ^
I don't know what urine tastes like. But if you can't enjoy the Champagne of Beers because the pricetag doesn't make you feel good enough about yourself, there is nothing I can do to help you.
September 1st, 2011 at 10:15 PM ^
Pabst.
September 2nd, 2011 at 8:17 AM ^
Busch Light now has an ice cold easy indicator. I like it because it tells me when to chug to avoid that warmish swill at the end.
September 1st, 2011 at 10:19 PM ^
There's a lot more to craft beer than a bigger pricetag.
September 1st, 2011 at 10:27 PM ^
I've had and enjoyed a couple zillion different beers. I love them all. But if you can't enjoy a tasty, domestic classic (much less view it as the equivalent of pissing in your own mouth) there is something wrong on your end. Not the other way around.
September 1st, 2011 at 10:32 PM ^
Never said you couldn't; all I responded to was the one sentence in your comment.
September 1st, 2011 at 10:34 PM ^
I was responding to:
"Don't you have enough money to buy beer that doesn't taste like the piss from someone who's just consumed a case of cheap beer?"
So I may have been a little harsh in stating my case. We cool.
September 1st, 2011 at 10:58 PM ^
Haha good. Wouldn't want to start a fight with PurpleStuff two days before the opener.
/no s
September 1st, 2011 at 11:31 PM ^
Nobody wants to fight with me any more since I (still) think this team is going to be awesome this year and I like just about everybody on our coaching staff (though I'm a little pissed Hoke shaved the goatee).
I've lost my edge.
September 1st, 2011 at 11:01 PM ^
I hope that's not a metaphor after "remove pants". Since the wife isn't home.
September 1st, 2011 at 11:12 PM ^
The dirty bacon wrapped hot dog (sold every five feet as you leave the LA Coliseum by random illegal immigrants cooking on hibachi-like contraptions) is one of the USC traditions I have embraced wholeheartedly.
I add mayo (they will try to do this at the games but don't ever accept it because that mayo has been sitting on the hot grill after riding up from Guadalajara in some dude's truck for three days), mustard, and jalapenos (instead of the standard grilled bell pepper and onion).
I will be eating these, microwave burritos, cereal, and Eggos almost exclusively until the little lady returns.
Life is good.
September 1st, 2011 at 11:24 PM ^
If they sold it at a five star restaurant, it wouldn't be anywhere near as good.

<br>Bacon makes everything better.
September 1st, 2011 at 11:39 PM ^
Through much experimentation I've learned the proper move is to grill both the bacon and the hot dog individually until they are almost done, then wrap the dog for the big finish.
If any of those Iron Chef guys can equal that deliciousness sans pork they will have my eternal gratitude.
September 1st, 2011 at 6:04 PM ^
I hope UNLV puts up at least a bit of a fight against Wisco.
Those Murray State blogs must be blowing up about now.
September 1st, 2011 at 6:13 PM ^
Wiscy will put up a fight against themselves. Kind of a little new wrinkle to the Badger's formula, might see a "what the f#%k" or two in the first half. They will pull away pretty quick though. They scored <80 points last year in a conference game. 80!!! Thems Kobe numbers.
September 1st, 2011 at 6:17 PM ^
It seems like every year Wisconsin has one of those shitty performance, down to the wire games (Iowa is kind of the same way) early in the non-conference season, no matter how good they end up at the end of the season.
Here's hoping it happens again tonight.
September 1st, 2011 at 9:29 PM ^
Not tonight. However, they have given up a decent amount of rushing yards to UNLV in the first half.
September 1st, 2011 at 6:18 PM ^
Um, we scored <80 in a bunch of conference games last year.
September 1st, 2011 at 6:19 PM ^
bad. No edit available.
September 1st, 2011 at 6:41 PM ^
Is Wilson their starting QB?
September 1st, 2011 at 6:58 PM ^
Yes, and captain
September 1st, 2011 at 6:27 PM ^
Does Murray State even have blogs?
September 1st, 2011 at 6:08 PM ^
The Carrier Dome right now... Should be interesting to see how Syracuse plays after last year's surprising season.
September 1st, 2011 at 8:30 PM ^
If for some reason GERG is lurking around there do us all a favor and punch him in the face.
September 2nd, 2011 at 8:19 AM ^
Really! Where abouts do you live? I'm in penfield.
September 1st, 2011 at 6:10 PM ^
Louisville bringing out the fake punt against Murray State? Interesting.
September 1st, 2011 at 6:13 PM ^
And it's all for nothing.
September 1st, 2011 at 6:18 PM ^
That happens to me all the time in NCAA 12.
I feel for Louisville.
September 1st, 2011 at 6:16 PM ^
and here I thought I was the only one desperate enough to watch this game.
should've known better in this crowd.
September 1st, 2011 at 6:18 PM ^
I need footbaw. Now. Even if it is between a big east team and a 1-aa team.
September 1st, 2011 at 6:31 PM ^
I wholeheartedly agree. FOOTBAW!!!!
September 1st, 2011 at 9:17 PM ^
Stick in the needle, inject, relax. Doesn't it feel soooooo good?
September 1st, 2011 at 6:15 PM ^
footbaw!
September 1st, 2011 at 6:15 PM ^
Miss St. They sound like they want to make some noise this season.
September 1st, 2011 at 6:16 PM ^
Let's go Devils! 10:00pm on Fox Sports Pacific vs UC Davis.
September 1st, 2011 at 6:21 PM ^
Just moved into new apatment, find out cable package my roomate ordered does not have ESPNU.
I guess college football doesnt start for another hour and a half for me.
September 1st, 2011 at 6:37 PM ^
The games start at 8:00 as far as I am concerned. I need me some football, but there is no less compelling of a watch than Louisville football. The equivalent of Milwaukee Buck basketball.
I'm pumped, but just sayin, could the networks have given us a little better slate here? At least the last five years I could count on S. Carolina v. a non-patsy team. If your gonna have an opening night might as well do something tasty. Maybe even late night west coast tasty.
That being said, Wiscy v. UNLV is gonna seem like the Super Bowl to me when it comes on.
September 1st, 2011 at 6:52 PM ^
If you have comcast and your roomate not ordering the sports package was an oversight and not a budget concern, comcast can set you up instantly with a signal. Not sure how it technically works, but I did it last year after getting tired of my sports selection one saturday morning.
September 1st, 2011 at 7:19 PM ^
Im in Chicago with RCN...
September 1st, 2011 at 7:05 PM ^
You're not missing anything. I turned on Louisville/Murray State 30 minutes ago just because it's college football. But I'm already beyond bored.
September 1st, 2011 at 7:17 PM ^
I'm watching at justin.tv but looking for a better link.

AHHH I LOVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!!!
September 1st, 2011 at 6:27 PM ^
In seeing how Russell Wilson does tonight for Wiscy. Anyone else?
September 1st, 2011 at 6:30 PM ^
yes. that and msu's offensive line will be my focus for the next 2 nights.
September 1st, 2011 at 6:49 PM ^
...the hype machine hasn't gone into hyper-drive...this kid has the skill set wisky truly could use this season.
I LOVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!!
