OT: Terrelle Pryor doesn't know his own fight song
So I don't know if anybody's seen this yet, but I was watching Jon Gruden's QB camp thing on ESPN and he was talking to Terrelle Pryor. They got to a video clip of OSU playing their fight song and Gruden asked Pryor if he knew the words. He said he didn't. Pretty sure he wasn't joking either.
That only aired 3 weeks ago...
"I didn''t know that the Eagles/Panthers/Redskins/etc. had a fight song..."
I saw about half of that program, with Gruden and Pryor. It was weird. Parts were funny. There were a few bits of interesting football-technique stuff. I wasn't sure if Pryor was dumb (I honestly didn't think that) or just sort of stunted, in a jock-like fashion. Gruden is a very strange character.
It might be because Pryor is an absolute fool. Even if he had the talent to be in the NFL he could never get the playbook down.
Because some of the faithful look at you like you're crazy when you ask for help on the lyrics to Across the Field. "You mean Buckeye Battle Cry?" they say.
Anyway, there's no excuse. I thought Quarterbacks were supposed to smart...
I wonder if Pryor knows Carmen Ohio?
I wonder if he knows the Star Spangled Banner.
Awesomely played.
Speaking of songs and OSU footballers singing, I always thought this was pretty awesome -- Cie Grant singing Carmen Ohio after their NC. The guy is absolutely terrific. If it had been Dhani Jones, singing The Yellow and Blue, I'd have been crying. As it is, Carmen Ohio is an old Methodist hymn, and a beautiful melody. It would be very hard to argue that it isn't among the greatest alma maters in the land.
Take it away, Cie:
"Carmen Ohio" is the oldest school song still used by Ohio State University. The song was composed by freshman Fred Cornell on the train ride home from Ann Arbor, Michigan, after Ohio State suffered an 86-0 loss to the University of Michigan Wolverines.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmen_Ohio
I thought you were supposed to smart, too?
Denard will not transfer! Pass it along.
I also heard that OSU might get off clean. Is this true?
Didja hear we got that dude from the Ravens for our DC?
We landed on the moon!
General Lee surrendered at an Appomattox Court House. We can all go home now!
What's going on with Terrelle Pryor and what is all this OSU got off clean talk? Did I miss something?
I can't wait to see the spread offense at Michigan! No more getting our asses kicked by teams like App State and Oregon!
Too soon.
I thought it was too. This isn't a pity party at all. It's not even a party, it's just sad.
With posts like this who needs trolls?
He doesn't know Calloway's "I Wanna Be Rich"?
IGNORE
Well, thats news to me. s/
I'm supposed to read every single thread and can't miss any?!?!?!? NO WAY!! Comparing not knowing about OSU getting off clean or who our DC is to this thread is a gross misuse of an analogy. Sorry guys. People are allowed to miss things. In the words of a certain bygone coach, "get a life".
It was 3 weeks ago and everybody was highly anticipating watching Terrell bomb that camp. There's also a neat little search function on this site.
Dude seriously this aired almost a month ago on the wwl. I think it is safe to assume anything tsio related will be posted on here within milliseconds of first airing.
So pissed O.J. got off scott free!
He said he doesn't know the words to Carmen Ohio, which is not the fight song. They sang it after every home win.

So we have no idea if he knows the fight song, just not the Alma Mater.
Given that Terrelle Pryor's stock value and eligibility for the NFL supplemental draft seems in doubt, the next question will be for 2011-2012, will Pryor need to sing the USA national anthem, i.e. the Star Spangled Banner, or the Canadian national anthem, i.e. O' Canada.
How does a guy who can't memorize the words to a fight song know an entire offensive playbook and command a huddle?
I also think his supposed 3.0 GPA in high school was probably a complete sham.
