CBS Sports Team Ranks Michigan's Class #1
Sorry if this was posted already but I searched mulitple times and scanned the board. CBS Sports Team updated their class rankings and Blue is #1! Obviously it's still early but it's exciting nonetheless.

1. Michigan
Number of verbal commitments: 20
In the Top 100: 5
Comment: Michigan fans are simply delighted with the success of Brady Hoke on the recruiting trail, culminating with Kyle Kalis' flip to the Wolverines. Defensively and on the offensive line, this class is outstanding. Add another premium offensive skill player, like former Ohio State commit Bri'onte Dunn, and this class would get even stronger.

And, thank you for your many helpful tips.
are going to end up with better classes. I don't see how FSU, with two of the top six or seven players, isn't first on everyone's list.
ESPN also just released new rankings, and have Michigan at #5.

As much as I love Michigan's class, that strikes me as a more accurate ranking at this point.
In the end, it'll be hard to be ahead of Texas and especially FSU. How do FSU and Clemson pull in top classes year after year and underperform so much nationally? Must be an ACC thing.
...is so well rounded and comprehensive, it may be a reason that we are ranked so high. We might not have the flashy names some of the other teams do, but we are drafting for need, getting great players at those positions, and more importantly, getting guys who are excited to play for U-M and buying into the idea that they can change things and build something special.
I'll take a group of 3-4 star prospects like that over a handful of 5-star "me first" athletes anyday!
I think a handful of 5* athletes is exactly what would make this something special. Right now we are on track for a top-10 class. Recruiting at positions of need is very important, but having a few 5* studs is just as important if contending for national titles is the goal.
FWIW, Kyle Kalis is a 5 star on Scout, as are some others that we might be able to sign, such as Jordan Diamond, Adolphus Washington, and Bri'Onte Dunn. It could be an impressive class when all is said and done.
Also, ESPN rated has some of our guys rated lower. Kalis is the #20 OT and barely in their 150, Magnuson is the #32 OT, and Strobel and Brown are both 3-stars.
