ESPN pulls Jalen Rose off the air
On the front page of Yahoo; ESPN pulled Jalen Rose after his DUI
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie/post/Jalen-Rose-pulled-o…
EDIT: Evidently I skipped an important line when I read the article, my apologies for the screw up. Again Jalen Rose was just pulled off the air, not fired.
The article actually says he hasn't been fired or suspended as of right now.
Are you sure he is fired? I just read an article that said he was pulled off the air. He might just be suspended for a while or something. Either way, this is not good news for Jalen.
Dude
<quote>To clarify, Rose has not been fired or officially suspended -- he's just off the air for the time being as ESPN sorts out what should be done</quote>
I must have missed that quote, my bad
"To clarify, Rose has not been fired or officially suspended -- he's just off the air for the time being as ESPN sorts out what should be done."
Not yet anyway.
did not read the article. It clearly states "ESPN did not fire or suspend Rose".
Fu*k ESPN anyways.
but I missed that sentence
I'd change the title of your post now...
edit: Guess you beat me to it...
Way to much negative press after the Uncle Tom, Christian Laettner's a p*ssy, etc. "documentary." The DUI is ESPN's perfect out.
I would be shocked if ESPN didn't weigh in on the documentary and give it the stamp of approval before it aired on their network.
They obviously were fine with the content
It was the highest rated documentary yet, and people are still talking about it because of Rose's comments. If anything ESPN is very happy with it.
...in the content but now they can have their cake and eat it too. No more high visibility for Rose on the network, ratings are in the bag. He's gone.
I'm sure he can find a better job or retire on the millions he's already earned as part of the sports-playing and sports-marketing elite.
This should be standard procedure for all websites: attempt to find a pic of the subject of your article sitting with a hot chick. At least we get to see Alyssa Milano.
Amazing, she's still hot
Driving while under the influence is simply unacceptable. I lost a niece to a drunk driver - the guy was doing over 80 mph on an exit ramp and rear ended her stopped car. Beyond making an extremely poor decision his timing was poor as well. Call out Duke / Grant Hill & co. and get yourself arrested for DUI. Geesh.... just get a frigging clue.
as a well timed DUI...
At any rate his comments about Duke were him describing how he felt as an 18 year old kid. The fact that many in the Media and even Grant Hill responded the way they did says more about them than it does about Jalen.
I always assumed those only occur when you make it home without being pulled over....
that every time Jalen does something great, he follows it with something silly?
It is the curse of the so-called fab five. It's like they cannot help themselves.
unless you are in Montana. However, people do make mistakes and can attone for their poor decisions.
*atone
Rose is showing Milano an awesome Oden-type picture to try and score a date? She looks intrigued.
Agree, Rose is a damn fool for driving DUI. Not about getting caught, just doing it at all. Should've had Milano drive him home
Of these Ohio state or msu fans talking shit about the fab five on a Michigan fan blog. There's no way it can be Michigan fans. This site seems to have been taken over, too bad.
<br>But, If you are a Michigan fan and you 'can't remember the fab 5 playing on the court,' don't criticize what you don't understand or can't remember.
