|06/15/2016 - 4:34pm||Thank you all for the support||
And yes, we have the 10-k, 10-q, analyst reports, case studies, HBR articles, GSB articles, several academic papers, and other published sources. The goal was to combine those sources with orignial research from a vareity of individuals to fill in gaps, validate information, and understand how directions may have changed in the past years or even months.
Thank you again.
|06/15/2016 - 4:26pm||Would truly appreciate it|

I may be the only person I the world with that "distinction."
Looking forward to Nike - maybe that will turn things around. ;)

He got a gift but clearly isn't too appreciative. Funny how quickly folks forget...
All good though... Im looking forward to our bowl.

|11/11/2015 - 1:19pm||1997 - The Game: OSU players in the stadium tunnel||
For the pregame, the MMB is frequently waiting in the tunnel while both teams exit the field from warmups. On this occasion, Some of the last of the OSU team decided to share their true feelings with anyone within earshot. "F*** Michigan, f*** their mom, F* their dog, THIS IS OUR HOUSE!"
This is one time (possibly the ONLY time in my recollection) that we as a band responded. We chanted " WHO's HOUSE?! OUR HOUSE!!! All 400+ members screaming at the top of their lungs. They had to have heard it in both locker rooms. My friend said he heard it from his seats in the stadium.
Man that year was fun!!! I still wonder about the dog comment though...
|10/23/2015 - 12:38pm||does the number in parentheses indicate need at the position?||
Would you consider a color code identifying the current strength of that group for the following years?
I'm always curious to see how our emphasis of position groups relative to that projected group strength
|10/23/2015 - 1:43am||Go Temple!!!||
|10/20/2015 - 12:01am||Pretty easy to understand why they're salty||
They effectively lost, though they technically "won."
The rest of college football recognizes this and that stings them. Any coach who can take the same team and in 9 months make them feared is a force (as if we didn't know already).
The reason this doesn't bug me is that they didn't cheat (as much) to win as 1990 or 2001. Times are changing
|10/19/2015 - 11:18am||Rule question - what happens with the clock if we recover?||
What happens to the clock if we do recover (or even just run the ball one more time)?
If it runs, I can't imagine a scenario where they can get a team on the field to try a pass. If it doesn't run, can someone indicate why it doesn't run? I haven't seen anything in the rules that indicates that it should stop on a turnover.
I know, salt on the wound and all that. Just want to understand the game a bit more.
|10/18/2015 - 4:00pm||Yup, I think the quick kick would have been ideal||
I suspect this will be added to the arsenal shortly.
|10/08/2015 - 7:53pm||Didn't canteen get interfered with on that long pass.||
See end like it to me... Would appreciate the board's thoughts
|09/28/2015 - 11:18am||PSA- Stubhub offering 10% off today||
the promo code is SPORTS10
I don't have any interest in Stubhub. Just thought that it may help some fans get some cheaper tickets.
|09/04/2015 - 11:43am||This is spot on||
Hit that first overthrow and our running game looks way better. Hit the first two and it could have been. Win going away. There is just no substitute for being able to stretch a D vertically.
I saw more good throws to open receivers deep in this game than I did in the first 6 games last year. And that was against a real D.
|09/02/2015 - 11:03am||The ticket market says otherwise||
In terms of game significance, If that is any measure.
|09/02/2015 - 12:57am||Have you ever stood on the precipice of greatness?||
Maybe you've been fortunate enough to do so. Maybe you haven't personally but you've felt it by virtue of something or someone else. The feeling, the emotion, the raw electricity... It's moments like these that are indelibly written into your mind and stay with you until the day you die. It's those " do you remember where you were when..." moments that are never forgotten.
Remember this moment - we only get so many of these in a lifetime. Enjoy the goosebumps, relish the tingle, savor the anticipation. It's been too long. But I'm convinced this will be our time. It's time to step from the precipice.
|08/31/2015 - 1:04am||Will be there!||W12, row 60. Meeting 4 friends. Very excited. I don't think the Cal Stadium backdrop has any rival, but I'm also biased (10 year season ticket holder to Cal). Wearing Maize and a road #4 jersey. Anyone tailgating beforehand? Hit me up! How many M fans do we thing will attend? I think 5000...|

THey were all over campus each week. I'd love to get a hold of one of those. I remember seeing them each week on North Campus displayed. I think it was a very talented art student.
If anyone knows how to get a hold of one of those, please let me know!
|10/22/2014 - 3:39pm||I respectfully disagree -||
I respectfully disagree - Michigan football is a public example of what we expect out of our entire university. It's been that way for nearly 40 years. It's not part of the brand, it's darn near the marketing program for the entire school. We continue to be left adrift and we will flush that down the toilet. At that point, we should pull a U-Chicago.
P.S., nice car
|10/12/2014 - 10:56pm||and who was the last team to have not lose and move out of 1...||
I don't know if there was another between FSU this year and Michigan in '97.
|10/04/2014 - 3:44am||F that||
How convenient it is to forget the week before where zona needed an onside kick and a hail mary in successive series to beat a previously 1-11 cal team at home. No thx.
|06/02/2014 - 2:01am||As I recall we were one play away from beating OSU last year||
And they've subsequently folded in the following two games...
I think we take it to them this year
|05/24/2014 - 7:19pm||IMHO, the question is which||
IMHO, the question is which side of the line of big mountain skis do you want to fall on - new school rockered / powder or older school carving. I'm assuming you ski fast, it's just how fast and do you want to sacrifice some edge hold and some stability for an easier time in powder vs. work harder in powder and be able to better arc/carve your turns. Once you make the decision on where you want the tradeoff, the decision gets way easier
Focused powder skis will turn less nimbly and the wider the width underfoot, the more like a barge (my Volkl Kuros are NOT for groomers - they take a LOT of effort to turn on a groomer). And they don't carve as well (duh) either because of the rocker and or the flexibility of the ski itself
For me, even skiing nearly solely in tahoe, I chose the older school with a Volkl AC40. Super stiff, great edge hold, but wide enough to take on up to a foot of fresh without even thinking about it and bust some crud. Beyond that, it's to my powder set and I often switch back once everything is skied up. S7s are cool skis but were too soft for me.
Hope that helps!

Thank you Keith...I love this!!!

Would like new blood
|11/09/2013 - 11:33pm||Not to mention the kids aren't having fun||
Look at SC. They went from not having any fun and looking dumb to having fun,,playing loose,,and killing it
|11/09/2013 - 10:55pm||Jeff Tedford||
Great OC, great QB coach, plays MANBALL.
|11/02/2013 - 9:48pm||screw that...||
it was 16-6 with us driving late in the 3rd.
Wanna get angry? Look at the quotes from the MSU coaches after the game...
The true issue is we lack confidence. I think that stems from a poor senior leader class. Some is coaching but some is peer expectations
|11/02/2013 - 9:07pm||I think you're all nuts...||
The weather in this game really hurt us, more than it did them based on their strengths and our weaknesses.
The D-line played pretty well. I thought the O-line wasn't too bad. As I recall it was 16-6 at the end of the 3rd and we had several shots to have an additional 11 points - would have been an even game at that point.
MSU won that game because of their D-backs, they made about 5 more plays than we did (how many balls did we drop?) and I think Gardner is late on his throws almost all the time.
We'll be fine - how many seniors are graduating that we'll really miss? I think it's only Lewan, Schofield, and Gallon. I'll take my chances with the kids coming in.
Besides, Nadruzzi is about to get poached (who stays at State?) so that problem will get solved shortly.
|10/27/2013 - 1:01pm||This is going to be awesome!||
For all the marbles - it's been a long time since we were in a hunt for a championship in November.

For all the marbles - it's been a long time since we were in a hunt for a championship in November.
|10/16/2013 - 12:35am||My read for what it's worth:||
"there were sometimes where we targeted (our O line blocking) well but still didn't move the line of scrimage" coachspeak for they overloaded the box and it didn't matter what we did.
my take is there will be more spread passing included. the questions asked were stupid (again) talking about running Devin more.
I also read his body language as someone who was borderline incensed. Maybe at his in game calls, maybe at his overall strategy, maybe at the plan for the team.
Also notice what he didn't say: there wasn't a word about Fitz or the receivers.
|10/15/2013 - 12:21am||I rewatched the offense in the second half of the last game...||
I was struck by several things:
I can't even count how many times we ran against 8 (and sometimes 9) man fronts. And all the LBs would just run at the line right at the snap (hard to block guys with momentum). There were even a few plays where we had less players (let alone blockers) than the D had in the box. We were hellbent on running the ball. I can only surmise a few reasons for this:
1) we really didn't respect PSU and after the one final series where we did pass for the last TD to Funchess, we thought it was enough. The rest was just practice to work on blocking and also to reduce the variance in the game.
2) our coaches are so obtuse that we don't even consider what the D is giving us (quick hitch or bubble screen anyone?) For example, when Gallon had his quick screen in the 4th, he picked up 15 and could have gone to the house. They played single coverage all day in response to our "man ball" mentality.
3) Gardner is not accurate enough to throw a good bubble screen or "long hand off."
4) Gardner is too stupid to be trusted with sight adjustments for the long hand off.
I seriously can't imagine 2,3, or 4 (though 3 seems to be the most likely of those options).
As a side bar, does it seem like the team just isn't having much fun out there? It feels like the expectations are so high that anything less than perfection receives a luke warm excitement level - looks more like releif. I think that is weighing on the confidence of the team and impedes the result. It's like a golfer that has the yippes. Sometimes one just has to get a bit angry. I always find that happens when the wound stings a bit.
|06/24/2013 - 3:01pm||take the top 3 people in your life, call them, and tell them....||
... you love them. No one is around forever. I was reminded the hard way on Tuesday (lost my Stepfather who was essentially my father for nearly 30 years as my biological father died when I was 7).
My 3 year old daughter said on Father's day "I want to see Granddad." Something in me told me this was extremely important so I put down our moving efforts, found my phone, and skyped with Granddad for an hour. He was gone two days later.
I thought this somewhat relevant because Granddad was my introduction to sports. He was a huge ND fan but still loved to go to college hockey (we started going in '84, the year Red started coaching at Michigan - Yost wasn't nearly so nice), pro hockey, and many other sports.
RIP Dr. David Dolan
|04/22/2013 - 11:13pm||This is really about making more public/alumni seats available..||
Think about it: without assigned seats, the number of students that attend every game will be measured and it will be easier to reduce the number of seats based on the "loyal" attendees. That's maximizing revenue and holding students accountable (you show up, you get tickets next year)
|04/01/2013 - 9:20pm||Same here||
I had to transfer from another school (shall remain nameless), did a year of LSA while taking engineering prerequisites, and then transferred in to the ME program. Needless to say that when one creates a "burning bridge" to get somewhere, it's really motivating.
On the transferring part, I think they let me in because I wrote that I'd just keep applying until they let me in (I guess a good GPA didn't hurt either).
