Great point. I’m certainly reacting out of emotion, not necessarily logic. But it’s hard to see something so special gone. But business is finished, right? The past few years have been amazing though. Absolutely incredible. The way they beat great teams…they just crushed them. The identity and culture the coaches and players established was truly special.
I loved that Jim endorsed the hiring of Moore, but it wasn’t the right hire and Jim had to have known that. He knew he was taking coaches with him. All the chemistry is gone. The pressure Moore will be under will be immense. The fanbase has gotten accustomed to winning…every game. We’re going to lose some. Probably to OSU. That’ll fall squarely on Moore. Hopefully the fanbase will give him a few years of grace.
This is the problem with hiring from within the program. If our outgoing head coach takes everybody with him, we basically have to start from scratch. Damn this sucks.
My kids, now 10 and 12, saw me dance the past two years. Only time they’ve ever seen me dance. And I danced. Irish jig. That one Russian dance. The Dutch wooden shoe dance they do at that fucking parade. But today was different. And they fucking knew it. They’ll never forget this day. Wolverines for life. This team. This fan base. Amazing.
I was very nervous about this Maryland game. Every intangible went against Michigan. Road game. Game following emotional win. Head coach out . A Coach gets fired midweek. Playing very solid underdog team before biggest game ever (as far as I’m concerned). And all the other bullshit they’ve had to deal with. This is a special group of young men. That I know. Go Blue!
Absolutely. If I don’t go into work Monday, it’s not great. But if I document that I went into work Monday, but didn’t, I’m in trouble. If I destroy those documents during the investigation I’m officially fucked. Pretty straightforward stuff.
I feel like this is a real possibility. Some other coach likely was aware. That person knew enough not to include Harbaugh. It’s also likely they had no idea it would turn into this. The CMU thing still puzzles me though. Maybe that Koolaid guy can shine some light on the issue.
I’d love to see the MSU rivalry end. It’s become toxic. Also, Michigan’s relationship with the conference will never recover. I also think the spirit of the Michigan/OSU rivalry is gone. It’s turned into something completely different. Efforts to ruin careers. The livelihood of coaches and their families. It’s a mess.
So the idiot bully got kicked in the nuts and knocked out and instead of accepting defeat and begging for forgiveness the idiot’s going to ask for money? Pathetic.
Perhaps this is an unusual case. Is unusual the correct term? Maybe Bat shit crazy? Bizarre? Low level staffer who is now a household name? Evil genius? Lovable dumbass? No precedence here. None.

This was perfect. Fantastic.

I haven’t worn any Wolverine apparel for 3 years. Because of 1 game. I don’t even remember which one. I’m serious.
And a good quarterback can be turned into a very bad quarterback when the rest of the offense is subpar. Smith has a lot of work to do.
Hell yeah #48! Go blue!!!!
Makes sense.
Best series finale ever.
edit- Newhart, although Perfect Strangers was probably great too.
Always loved the dance of joy. Classic.
Yup. Chipple. Very dark days,
Realistically, any one of us could be he…(WD).
My username Season for Treason was created largely because of that game and a few more Hoke blunders that season.

He truly is an asshole. Priceless. What an amazing day.
Such a pathetic response. In my 45 years I’ve never felt better to be a Michigan Wolverine!
Hey! Thanks for showing up! This is going to eat at you for months. Just an added bonus for us. Go blue!!!!!!!
That’s perfect. Keep talking.
Hilarious. I was thinking the same thing. Kept refreshing. Checked every site I could think of. We are a special breed.
And the ass of their horse! Specifically, the one they rode in on!

How wouldn’t he be a bit overwhelmed? But two road wins under these circumstances? He’s a fucking hero.
I’m snug as a bug in a rug with Dug.

Wonderful memories.
Definitely start drinking.
If he’s not your uncle but tells you to call him uncle, run. Nothing good can come of it.
What an absolute train wreck. Laughable at this point. Uncle T? You can’t make this shit up.
IPAs. Lots of IPAs.
Oh yeah!!!!
Exactly. This is an absolute shit show. Michigan Football looks ridiculous right now. What a sad 3 weeks.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing!
The fact that he went on for that long about the chickens… I think it’s hilarious. He seems like a pretty likable person. Even more so lately.
Nice…

BET. Absolutely.
Exactly. These young men deserve to play football.
Agreed. It would be incredibly foolish to impose a punishment today. I just don’t see it happening.

I think they still prefer peace. Michigan handled this with grace and wisdom but also showed what their capable of. Perfectly executed.
“This isn’t our problem”. I now hate him too.
I agree. I feared they had some mind blowing evidence of horrible transgressions and he had to act immediately. The scandal of all scandals.
Hilarious. An absolutely stunning turn of events.
Such a predictable comment. Nice!!
I don’t have the points to upvote, but count me in!

Exactly what I was thinking. If you’re willing to obtain evidence illegally, your credibility is lost.
He’s honest. After hearing so much b.s from coaches and athletic departments the past week or two, this is refreshing. I think Harbaugh is similar.
