Ty was first-team All-American (as a junior) with 154 tackles and 6 INTs for his Michigan career. I wish I could say that I expected him to be a future Hall-of-Famer, with 53 INTs and 3 Super Bowl Rings (and could have won Super Bowl 36 MVP) but I can’t. That’s an amazing career for the 23rd overall pick. On the other end, I think Jake Long has to be up there. He was the #1 overall pick in an admittedly weak draft class, but played only 5 healthy seasons. I know you can’t control for injuries but I expected twice that.
I went to the Sports Analytics conference this year and I am counting down the days to when they post the videos of each panel conversation... Stay tuned to learn what one member of the playoff selection committee looked at to determine the nation's top four teams... ITS SO MUCH WORSE THAN YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE.
For Michigan alums in the Boston area, this feels like a repeat of the 2012 Bobby Valentine Red Sox.... which can only mean we're winning the Title next year!
I'n not a fan of anyone on TMZSPN but I tend to agree with Herbstreit here. I put more of the onus on the medical staff for not having atleast a semblance of accountability. The head coach is in charge of a million things on the sideline, the medical staff is watching for and treating injuries, that's it...
I was convinced that a change was needed in South Bend, when we had to walk out in shame following that final pick-6 that didn't count. This is Michigan for God's sake.
I agree that the first play is more on Cole then it is Williams. Much easier for a guard to get inside on a 1 technique (by himself) then it is for a tight end to reach inside on a 5. The 5 is way more likely to be coming downhill, and has more space to do so, which makes Williams’ block all the more difficult to execute. Then again, that’s when you have to cut him.
Chances that Norfleet hurdles the safety in play #2?

If Harbaugh was able to turn Alex Smith's career around, I'd like to think he has a chance at doing the same for Shane Morris.
