I can see where you're coming from. I would argue that talk becomes more potent when it's backed up with discipline and performance. I think in this game you saw a very disciplined and talented team annihilate a lesser opponent, so when they talked, the other team was even more thrown off. That's when it gets under your skin.
Not exactly the Mormon way! Love that our DBs talked and used that to their advantage. I think it definitely got into their heads. Loved when Lewis started applauding after that one incompletion.

After watching the replay of this game, it stood out to me how much confidence the team can play with. I especially noticed it in the secondary. Those corners and safeties just knew that BYU couldn't pass on them.
Looks like Rudock will have a chance to hit a couple of deep balls if they play us like they did UCLA. A little redemption maybe? Unless we have no need to pass and just run 14 play drives consisting of run plays.

I live in Maryland and I've seen multiple UMD sites and articles referring to this as a "big rivalry week for the Terps". Did I miss something?
