05/14/2015 - 3:59pm Stop it

If you believe Jalen only took $50's here and there, and Webber took HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS... I have beachfront property in Idaho I would like to sell you

05/14/2015 - 3:54pm Disagree

It's not up to Jalen to tell them when and how to fix things... the Webber problem is one bigger then just get over it. When your family is dragged into all this mess over the years, and the finger is pointed directly at YOU and no one else for the failure of the program... it's a slightly bigger problem. Personally I feel its a University vs Webber problem, not a Jalen Rose issue.

05/14/2015 - 3:38pm QUESTION?!

Why can some of you guys give Steve Fisher a pass? Lol I find it quite odd, that some posters can direct so much anger towards Webber yet be compassionate towards Coach Fisher. Are we really going to be that naive, to believe that Fisher or Perry Watson had no clue about anything that was going on? The night Traylor flipped his suv, he took Cleeves to see Martin... are we really going to act like nobody else knew about this? Open up your eyes people, stop trying to point the finger at one individual as he is the main reason the program got in trouble.

Also Jalen should probably take a step back. The disgust has never been aimed at him or any other ex Wolverine like it is towards Webber and once again this is not about YOU Jalen.

05/05/2015 - 3:16pm Slugfest..

Someone will not survive this saturday, most likely Kirkland because he will become to wild and get caught with a vicious shot. Definitely should be alot more in your face action

05/05/2015 - 3:00pm Quality fights/fighters still exist

About 4 of those fighters have had fights on HBO within the last 5 months, 2-3 have had fights on NBC with the new premier boxing in the last 2 months. If you are a fan of boxing you can look for the fights, casual fans most likely are only paying attention to "big names" pay per view type bouts.

05/05/2015 - 2:33pm "All he does is throw BS jabs to score and avoid getting hit"

FIRST question... so he should allow his opponent to hit him?

SECOND question ... are all those straight rights really considered jabs?

05/05/2015 - 2:11pm Sport has no one worth watching?

Have you heard of any of the following? Plenty of good fighters still fighting

Terrence Crawford

Keith Thurman

Gennady Golovkin

Andre Ward

Guillermo Rigondeaux

Sergey Kovalev

Deontay Wilder

Danny Garcia?

02/27/2015 - 7:26pm Falcon

Mag what is your opinion? I have not seen it. And is Sritzinger a legit 6-180?

02/26/2015 - 9:10pm Disagree

Sure Strizinger may look faster on film, but he also seems kind of small. Falcon looks like a totally different player physically when comparing the two.

12/26/2013 - 11:45am Mayhew has done an pretty damn good job

2009- There were 25 other teams that also passed on Clay Matthews.. also he was projected as a 3-4 OLB, in which the Lions never ran

2010- Jahvid was a reach, but he was also a steal given his ability and where they drafted him. It was a roll of the dice, that looked great when he was healthy actually.

2011- Titus Young wasn't a bad player, he produced quite well. Now the other issues... are something else. If anything the more disappointing pick in 2011 was probably Leshoure from the same round in which we traded up for, and bypassed Torrey Smith, Randall Cobb, Demarco Murray picks later.

2012 - Ryan Broyles was another reach given his medical history. Passing up Levontae David, Ruben Randle, and TY Hilton looks bad now.

I'll give him credit for being aggressive in trying to acquire talent, and add to a team that was depleted when he took over. The position he was in, probably made him roll the dice and draft BPA and hope for the best

12/04/2013 - 4:45pm Will Campbell...

says your wrong..

03/10/2012 - 2:24pm stop it... PLEASE STOP!

A.I was electric... you knew he was the best player as soon as the ball was tipped. He was so explosive. I think Burke is stronger just because of his build, he is put together pretty solid. A NBA PG that compares to Burke pretty good would be Jameer Nelson, and college would be Jordan Taylor. You can't be mad at either of those... but dont say AI again

03/07/2012 - 4:49pm Maybe you mean

Dawson? I've only seen Hill with CMU, UM, and Sparty..

03/07/2012 - 1:56pm Rumor is..

Kevin Smith wants to be back, which I wouldnt be against at all. Price has to be right though. I can see him possibly replacing Morris or Williams as the 3rd RB.

As far as Jahvid, he may need to wear one of the helmets like Mark Kelso..seriously

03/04/2012 - 9:14pm Aaron White from Iowa

Sure he wont win it, but he may get a few looks. Kid is going to be a good one

02/03/2012 - 11:59am Would you rather?

With the LB haul we have had, I dont think taking that many is likely this year...We have to keep things in perspective, so my question is do you want instate Reschke or the other possibilities of Michael Hutchings, Ben Gedeon, EJ Levenberry, Jaylon Smith, or Peter Kalambayi...just to name a few

01/29/2012 - 6:01pm And physically too small

to play PF. Smotz could be like Robbie Hummel pre injury..basically he is a 3/4, just depends on the matchup. In no way would I have him defend a wing like Buford, but he should be able to handle someone like Deshaun Thomas on the block and perimeter

01/29/2012 - 5:51pm Depends on Smotz

He has to become more aggressive. He could be a 3 in the lineup.  PG Burke, SG THJ, SF Smotz, PF McGary, C Morgan.... McGary has more face up game at this point then Morgan. Morgan just needs to get a couple moves on the block

01/06/2012 - 12:25am Dominique Ealey ring a bell?

I believe that was his name.. the DE out of either NY or PA in the same game as Demar Dorsey and he destroyed everybody before flipping from Penn St to Florida. Havent heard his name since he enrolled

11/06/2011 - 11:04am You sir...

GET IT!  With the improvement we have seen on D, 7-5 would be like someone shitting on your doorstep

10/23/2011 - 5:16pm Track

I thought he accepted a track scholarship already?

10/09/2011 - 10:43am ...

Nice try ..but wrong guy

09/05/2011 - 1:30pm Ummmmmm...

I'm pretty sure that isnt ACTUALLY Denard and Teo..

08/05/2011 - 7:23pm 6 game stretch

WELL not making an excuse, but if you take into consideration we had a six game stretch during interleague play when we were outscored 54-32 (-22) by the Giants/Mets..not really a cause for concern to me. 5th in the MLB in runs scored, obviously just need consistent pitching from Scherzer and Porcello..Hopefully Fister becomes a great tradeoff from what we previously had, while hoping for 5+runs whenever Penny takes the mound. I'll leave the bullpen alone for now

06/29/2011 - 9:44am IF....

If he is the best SS in CFB this year, then this is going to be a long season for alot of teams

06/29/2011 - 9:37am Plz stop with the small back...

Height has nada to do with the RB position, if it did some of the greats would of never made it out of high school. When you get a chance go look at Ronnie Hillman, the freshman who played for Hoke at SDSU and see how un-Eddie George like he is...

06/03/2011 - 9:50am Pretty close to the ASU...

Pretty close to the ASU program, not to sure what your implying by that remark lol...Insisting that Tressel's antics would fly at ASU??

05/08/2011 - 4:52pm GRCC

Last i remember, he was rumored to go to Grand Rapids CC. Also it was stated they were the choice because they actually have trasferable credits to UM.

01/24/2011 - 7:34pm YES

Kovacs to the bench is a great thing IMO..he is not a starter, yes he can be situational but no way he should see the majority of the snaps going forward im sorry.

01/24/2011 - 7:32pm Stevie Brown

FYI Stevie Browns problem was never speed (note Al Davis drafted him), it was the fact he had the worst ball skills known to mankind! Stevie was an athletic freak, who would continually make you cover your eyes

01/22/2011 - 12:40pm !!!

I agree.. Loews, Gansevoort, or the W are some of the new properties right on Ocean. They also have a nice Marriott at the beginning of the strip, I think its like 2nd and Ocean? Right on the beach, and kind of in the "quiet'er" part of the blvd of nonstop action. Fontaine and Eden are both nice, but they are a nice drive (or terrible drive in traffic) away from the true South Beach

01/22/2011 - 12:35pm If you plan on staying on

If you plan on staying on South Beach, check the hotels out through and through because they have alot of boutique hotels aka OLD hotels with a new coat of paint and room as big as your closet! Trust me though every other place serves 2 for 1 drinks and over priced italian food.

01/22/2011 - 10:36am message!

As someone who went from Grand Rapids to San Diego...uummmmm you just dont own those things lol. When you move west, the whole "winter clothes" thing is out the window!!

01/22/2011 - 10:32am FWIW

I know its cold, but most of the recruits on campus are from the cold. Only three aren't (if you want to count the kicker) being Posada, McClure, and Wile. This could be shaping up to be a very good weekend.

01/21/2011 - 6:04pm lol

NOW this is hilarious!!!!

01/21/2011 - 6:03pm lol

01/20/2011 - 8:34pm And

lots of injuries..

01/20/2011 - 8:30pm Definitely

see where your going with this, but a missed blocking assignment gets #16 KILLED! I'm not a big V Smith fan anymore, but he was a pretty sound assignment wise.

01/20/2011 - 6:32pm Not to Mention

they have Andrew Maxwell, who is alot better then he is

01/20/2011 - 6:29pm If Kovacs

is an every down player next year, then that means DOOM again for this defense..yea yea I know he hustles and has a great story..but if somebody cannot overtake him in the secondary, then that is DOOM!!!  I wouldnt mind seeing him as a possible situational LB, but not in the secondary!!

01/19/2011 - 7:09pm I agree..

I have no clue why all the support was thrown behind Belein outside of the "he is the nice guy, he leads the ethics committee" crap. I cannot stand to watch the harlem globetrotters basketball weave at the 3point line before chucking brick after brick! His pedigree was suppose to be "shooting" but his shooters cant shoot!! The recruiting has been subpar, but I do have hope for CB aka Buckets next year, with Trey Burke also...He has missed that big name guy every year in recruiting, and sooner or later he has to land one or he needs to go also. If he landed Ziegler last year, or Amir this year I would be singing a different tune. Plus basketball is a sport were you can see a turnaround much quicker, based on landing a super recruit.

Also I wasnt expecting much this year, which is bad when you think about it but losing Manny & Peedi were kind of big deals.

01/18/2011 - 12:02am WR

We do seem to have depth at WR...but could the call have been made to Devin, because things are a done deal with Hakeem Flowers possibly?

01/17/2011 - 11:57pm iTS REAL

01/17/2011 - 11:43pm #47

Is no other then Dominique Easley I believe...I would of liked to see both of them in maize an blue!

01/16/2011 - 10:32am FWIW

I believe he grew up in Florida, and still has family in the area..

01/13/2011 - 9:45am Im not a Borges Fan

BUT you didnt watch SDSU this year..their offense was impressive, and was able to do a variety of things (spread/west coast). I dont believe he is the greatest, or a big splash but there is worse out there...ex: OSU

01/10/2011 - 10:37pm lol

that was  mad funny..seen your comment, and had to double take...cant stop laughing

12/25/2010 - 1:16pm "Pure Corner"

in high school a athlete of his caliber probably played both sides of the ball..they get projected at the next level by recruiting services etc..Just because he is being projected as a slot wr, doesnt mean he has never played any time at CB.

I mean im sure the coaching staff wants the same positions in this class some of us want, but they also cant strong arm anybody into a committment. Im not excited about this news, since I would love to see them land Ronnie Lott and Warren Sapp to close out this class also but Im not disappointed either. I still think with as good as Roundtree & Co is, this offense doesnt have that explosive playmaker from any WR (slot specific) position yet. Im talking turning a 2 yard route into a 30+ yard play (ie: Darius Reynaud, Jock Saunders, Tavon Austin, Percy & Florida crew). We still havent seen the slot motioned into the backfield for hand offs yet. So maybe he can? IDK.. Kind of confusing on this board with "we should recruit kids that want to come to UM", and this kid obviously does but he isnt what we want

11/08/2010 - 10:22pm Nobody...

should get it right now or next year. Leave it to next year to decide who "that guy" is. Personally I love Roundtree, everything he embodies but he is a piece not "that guy"..If Jr Hemingway can stay healthy, I believe he would of been the next WR to actually be that guy. I think with his size and skill, he is someone that defenses will begin to fear...I just dont get that feeling from Roundtree in the slot. Just my opinion though..then again I dont think we should be worried about jersey numbers while we need to be focusing on W's!!
