If you're about the bag more…

If you're about the bag more than the team to the point you'd rather go to Kentucky? C-YA.

Shame because the little we've seen looked promising. Next man up.

Dome football is sterile and…

Dome football is sterile and lame.

Caveat: I don't care about…

Caveat: I don't care about the NFL, I hope Michigan guys do well and have an opportunity to be successful and that's the extent of my involvement with it.

The vacillations near the draft are hilarious when it comes to QBs, as if there aren't years of film out there on these players and we don't know what level of competition they played against or what system they developed in. Gee, which one operated in a pro system and can make literally every throw in an NFL window? Oh and literally wins everywhere he's playted? Yeah, I'll take that guy, thanks.

Penix was downright pedestrian against an NFL level defense when he was forced to go through more than one read, and his third read was MASON GRAHAM. That game should be exhibit A why you don't take him with a high pick.

Williams is a gamble, I don't understand why a team would take a flyer on a guy who played in an offense that doesn't translate to the league and often made hay by improvising long enough for a guy to get wide open and certainly has some other question marks headed into the draft.

I don't care what Drake Maye did at UNC.

I hope JJ ends up on a team that will allow him to develop and isn't a tire fire, I think he has as good a chance as anyone to excel at the next level.

That's not how any of this…

That's not how any of this works.

To be fair you know they'd…

To be fair you know they'd miss that M at least 40% of the time.

Are we talking about the…

Are we talking about the same Michigan team last season that featured JJ McCarthy having no more than 5 incompletions a contest until October 7th?

Orji doesn't need to be and will not be JJ, but in this offensive scheme he needs to be able to make throws that I have yet to see him hit with consistency; albiet in the limited action we've seen so far.

That doesn't mean he can't progress to that level, just that we haven't seen it yet.

Spare us the "he only needs to complete 10 passes a game, he doesn't even need to be a good thrower" garbage.

Just a hilariously bad take.

Just a hilariously bad take.

QB Snowflakes:Davis Warren…

QB Snowflakes:

Davis Warren looks the most comfortable and reports of his inaccuracy seem grossly overstated, he's had the two best throws out there so far. That deep ball to Bell was fantastic.

You can see why we should be excited about Jadyn Davis, natural talent leaps off the page.

Orji's footwork still looks off to me and I think caused some of those early misses, but what an athlete, little bit more touch on display in the 4th Q than earlier.

Denegal with a tough outing, behind the others so far.

Love that it is at Noon.Go…

Love that it is at Noon.

Go Blue!

I see someone paid no…

I see someone paid no attention to the Carol / Scott Frost dynamic as it pertains to the Maize and Blue.

Nebraska does indeed have nice fans, we can simultaneously recognize that and still thoroughly enjoy it every single time we make those very nice fans sad, that program deserves every bit of the lumps and suffering they're receiving right now.

Also we would've beaten them by two TDs in '97 even if the game was played on Tom Osbourne's lawn.

With this defense and the…

With this defense and the stable of backs we have, give me the QB that TAKES CARE OF THE DAMN BALL every single day of the week and twice on Saturday. Whomever that ends up being.

Another random one: but…

Another random one: but shutting out ranked Northwestern in '15 for our third shutout in a row felt like we finally, FINALLY, had Michigan Football back. Maybe not the elite level of football we were dreaming of, but after wandering the woods for nearly a decade with only 2011 as an oasis, that win really felt like holy hell we've got this thing back on track for the first time in a long time.

Incredible, how could we so…

Incredible, how could we so quickly forget Villari's epic performance

It's a tie: The '21 Ohio…

It's a tie:

The '21 Ohio State game was the culmination of so many years of frustration, the setting, the manner in which the team played and physically dominated that game, in front of the best crowd I've been part of in four decades of attending games; what else can you say? It will sit amongst the all time wins for the program and inarguably set us on course to a National Title. Perhaps the best part is that it broke the OSU fanbase and program despite a historic 20 year run of excellence the likes of which their program has never seen.

The '24 Rose Bowl was, without a doubt, one of the greatest football games I have ever attended. Michigan overcoming numerous self-inflicted wounds to topple NICK SABAN'S ALABAMA was the perfect culmination of a three year story arc but also really Harbaugh's Michigan era, remember how things started w/ the Satellite Camps, Water Carrier Finebaum, etc, etc, etc. To beat that team, and that program, and that coach in that setting to go on to win a national title... I mean it's the freakin' Rose Bowl, we may never have another real Rose Bowl again unless they make it the championship game site, and a site of so many Michigan agonizing losses, to turn it around and to win in after the sun had set over those mountains still gives me goosebumps. Football Valhalla.

Feature not a bug in…

Feature not a bug in Columbus...

Good.

Good.

If that is erased by a team…

If that is erased by a team not named Michigan it means absolutely nothing.

I want Michigan to have…

I want Michigan to have those things, the Big Ten can go pound sand.

Yeah remember when Purdue…

Yeah remember when Purdue piped up and supported Michigan amongst the maelstrom last fall, just like the excellent medical care they provided Speight in '17 in West Lafayette?

Painter is a good guy and a really good coach, I don't care, I hope they lose just like every other athletic program in this supposed conference.

I derive absolutely no joy whatsoever from another conference foe's success and it benefits Michigan in no way, so nah, I'm fine with UConn winning again and will eagerly await the Frozen Four and the Spring Game.

I'm curious how so, in what…

I'm curious how so, in what way is Purdue winning beneficial for Michigan? Any more so than UConn?

With '73 in your username…

With '73 in your username you'd do well to remember what happened that year.

A Big Ten team not named Michigan winning it "for our conference" means absolutely nothing to Michigan and benefits Michigan in no way whatsoever.

Somehow I think IU's 5…

Somehow I think IU's 5 national titles will allow them to survive Purdue's first tournament run... ever.

That said I don't care if Painter is a good guy or they have a "clean program" - they can burn along with the rest of the conference.

Anyone who roots for any of these teams after last fall is being willfully ignorant.

Why.

The Big Ten actively…

Why.

The Big Ten actively tried to derail quite possibly the greatest season in our 144 year history as a football program, and all these schools gleefully piled on to try to take advantage.

Michigan Vs Everybody, screw Purdue.

Oh come on, you think Purdue…

Oh come on, you think Purdue winning it somehow will impact any of that? As long as Izzo is coaching that won't change.

What a completely…

What a completely meaningless distinction.

Screw 'em all.

No.

No.

"The conference could use a…

"The conference could use a boost" - lol

How anyone, especially after what transpired this past Fall, can remotely cheer for the "conference" amazes me. Never forget what these ADs/Programs tried to do, screw 'em all.

Michigan vs Everybody.

I assume he reported this…

I assume he reported this from inside the stadium...

We won a national title and…

We won a national title and our AD did nothing at any point along the build up to said national title to try to retain the greatest coach we've had in the modern era. Not talking September 2023, talking throughout his career, and ESPECIALLY in 2021.

The Athletic Department is doing "quite well" despite Warde, not because of him.

But hey, the bottom line looks fine!

Seriously?

Seriously?

Is that so? You're basing…

Is that so? You're basing that on what exactly?

You can love a place and…

You can love a place and also move on when the infrastructure you work within is impacted daily by people who are incompetent or actively negating your efforts.

Thanks Warde, et al.

Let's allow for some nuance…

Let's allow for some nuance. I can understand that Coach Harbaugh wanted to chase a Super Bowl and simultaneously believe/observe that how Warde and the Regents handled his tenure here was lacking in many areas, not the least of which was recognizing what they had and doing everything within their control to make this a job one that would be agonizingly difficult to walk away from.

To address your points:

1. When? Pretty clearly at the absolute last second, the answer should've been in 2021. NOT simply for $$$ but for what that meant in terms of support, etc. We allowed James Franklin and Ryan Day to have better deals than Jim Harbaugh... patently ridiculous.

2. The fact that there was negotiation in any way about this was idiotic from a Warde/M perspective. Response should've been "absolutely", but then again these are the same folks that backed out of the TRO at the 11th hour as well.

3. People believe Warde didn't do enough because there is an entire career's worth of evidence, both anecdotal and objective, that demonstrates he didn't / hasn't / won't. I want an AD in place who is going to give Coach Moore all of the support they possibly can as we transition into a new era of college football, I have absolutely no confidence in Warde Manuel to provide that leadership and vision.

Michigan was winning the TRO…

Michigan was winning the TRO, there was no legal basis for what Petiti and the conference did, you can choose to bury your head in the sand and pretend there was nothing they could do but you are wrong.

This "full immunity" thing…

This "full immunity" thing is not an accurate representation of what was asked for - Why would it be unreasonable for Harbaugh who was baselessly attacked by both the NCAA and the Big Ten, to ask that he be protected from further wanton action from those two bodies; we already saw the conference hand down judgement and punishment without due process or the actual authority to act in such a way.

No version of the contracts that we have seen or heard of mentioned anything about "full immunity" which is a gross mischaracterization in my eyes.

I wouldn't want my future decided by the action of blatantly incompetent (at best) and vindictive organizing bodies with an agenda either.

I get the "two to tango"…

I get the "two to tango" thing, BUT one of them is the most important figure in the Football Program and realistically probably the University, the other is Warde Manuel.

There has not been one instance during this run where Warde has been outwardly / publicly supportive of his coach. Goes back to 2016 following JT was short, extends beyond that at the bargaining table with the conference, and can even extend to the one thing people point to which was "well he didn't fire him in 2020". That's right, he didn't fire him, he publicly shamed him when he of all people should've known that season wasn't representative of a trend. He's never supported Harbaugh; not when the NCAA came around with complete and utter garbage, not when our arch rival launched a coordinated PR attack designed to cripple our team/season and by extension remove our head coach, etc. At no point did he demonstrate any sort of unified support of Harbaugh outwardly, he'd hide behind "can't comment on an NCAA investigation, etc". Pathetic.

"But he interviewed with the NFL each of the last three off seasons". Gee I wonder what drove him that way? Sure he wants to win a Super Bowl, blah, blah, blah. That's fine, but spare us all the "there was nothing we could do" act. Michigan had the ability to provide him a setup that could not be replicated by an NFL franchise, and to suggest otherwise is disingenuous. Warde needed to be ahead of the curve on this and he was anything but. People are all focused on this contract and the stipulations of the past few months, this should've been locked down YEARS ago.

Warde's failings are too numerous at this point to overlook, he needs to go. We need an AD that will support our hand-picked successor as college football transitions into a new era and not one that will serve as an internal hurdle for continued success.

I'm excited for Moore, I think its also entirely fair to be critical of the AD and the administration for how the Harbaugh tenure was handled.

Fair, though I think it's…

Fair, though I think it's also fair to ask: Do you think OSU has a great culture right now?

Ok, I'm going through the same with SeatGeek - I have the confirmation but have not yet received the actual tickets yet, super anxiety provoking to be honest. I know they say that depending on when the even releases the tickets etc, etc, but some more assurance that you'll actually have them in hand so to speak would be greatly appreciated.

Phew, lot of comments here demonstrating people are scared of the helmets and aren’t looking at the actual team we are playing.

Love the position of being overlooked as the number one team in the country that’s had two straight playoff appearances as experience before this game.
