Here is why it happend. My wife and I are to go to a neighborhood Octoberfest and had a babysitter over for the last couple minutes of the game as we were going to bolt right after it was over. With 10 seconds left the babysitter says "guys go ahead and leave this game is over." I told her right away to knock on wood and she refused, the rest is history. This stuff is real and impacts games.
I told my wife we shouldn't pay her but she did anyway.
back in the early 80's my dad was about your age and a student at Michigan. Not only would he go but he would bring me into the student section as a 7 year old. NOBODY gave a crap. Some even thought it was funny that I would do the bullshit chant when Michigan got a bad call. In short, nobody will care and have fun as you deserve to be there just as much as anybody else sitting in that section.
If I remember correctly, the fab five also said that AFTER they played against him that they had a lot of respect for his skills as a player. I guess CL focusing only on the negative gets him more press for his 30 for 30???

An easy 2 year term sounds like heaven compared to my job currently. I would take up the challenge only after the 2 years I have no criminal record. With a record you are done for life.

Having lived in Ann Arbor for 26 years before moving on here are my thoughts: Fashion and Ann Arbor have never been 2 things I have thought of going together. Don't confuse your parents money for "your wealth". When the money is someday cutoff she will understand. And to the girl that replied, your place at Michigan is to study and do as well as possible, the rest is just noise.

As I stated earlier I live in Raleigh and it is pure mayhem. When a retail outlet has it and place a limit you will see a guy going in with his mom, sister, girlfriend, etc... To get as much as possible. The real craziness however is when it is on tap. A place called busy bee will have it on tap at noon on Sunday and there is a mob waiting for the place to open. It is like Walmart on black Friday. I love the stuff but sorry I am not waiting in some line.

I live down in theRaleigh area and have heard such great things about coach Smith beyond coaching. He was big on if he saw kids out in public he would go up and talk with them and if you were even the smallest amount associated with the b-ball program he got to know you and your family.
Just a great person that was liked even by NC State and Duke fans.
It has always been my opinion that Michigan should use the cold weather AS a recruiting tool. When you are in the NFL and at Green Bay during the playoffs, what program gets you ready for that situation better? UCLA palm trees or Michigan in weather that football was meant to be played in.
I think without a doubt they need jail time. If this was a bunch of truck drivers that did this they would serve time, but since they are students they should be immune from real punishment?
If what they did was a crime why wouldn't you want them to have a record and serve some time? Paying back the damage and community service is a joke. These are adults that caused this and they need an adult punishment.

I think what is going to hurt football the most is the number of kids that won't be signing up. I know countless parents that are saying "no way" to football and this will hurt the game. My son is 9 and just like everything if he wants to play he plays, if he doesn't he can do another sport. Football will never die, it will be just less popular in 20ish years and the talent level IMO will be lower then today.
Just an off the wall question, but what if JH doesn't come, how will this impact the plan B money offer? Will say a Mullen want the same, or do they (plan B types) know the pecking order and the pay that goes with being plan b?

Bo was a god, AC was a very close 2nd, toliet paper was awesome to throw after a score, the smell of pot was everywhere in the student section, after beating OSU on the road my dad would drive to the campus and the streets were nuts, watching Michigan reply was my Sunday religion, and my all-time favorite memory was when I turned 16 and got my license I drove to the stadium with about 10 friends in the car and all of a sudden the entire team comes out and walks right past the car. Bo walks by and sees us packed into the car and starts laughing. I had always known him to be a hardass so it was cool to see him laughing over a bunch of kids packed in a car wanting to see the stadium.

They simply don't take the time and effort to really look at the details. They do a quick glance of high level numbers and an article is produced.
