05/12/2014 - 4:56pm Tom Collier

You had Tom Collier.  He also taught History of the Vietnam War.  A little better at that one since he was there.

09/14/2012 - 12:59pm My first game at the Big House

That game was the first I saw at Michigan Stadium at the ripe old age of 5.  Sat in row 3 and high fived AC on his way out of the tunnel.  What is amazing is that Michigan was down 21-7 at the end of the 1st quarter and came back to perform a clubbing.

08/19/2012 - 9:03am Cleveland Steamers

Cleveland Steamers

04/03/2012 - 8:04am Matt Dyson

Matt Dyson is the head coach at George Mason

01/09/2012 - 5:43pm Ferris

Anneese is taking over at Ferris State University.  I wonder if he will take Dorsey with him.

02/24/2011 - 10:05pm What exactly is a 30-odd six

Is that a reference to a Natural Light 30 pack with an odd six pack of say PBR thrown in?  Can't see how that would be a bad way to go.

02/24/2011 - 9:57pm Fundamentals

Oh dear Lord please just give me a display of successful execution of the fundamentals of the game and all of this noise will go away.  Fundamentals.  Once we see again what proper execution looks like (and I am optimistically banking on that happening and will be crushed if it doesn't) we will remember what it is like to always be competitive in every game we play.  Fundamentals.  Catching the punted football.  Tackling the runner in the open field.  Filling the proper gap.  Protecting the thing called the football.  Fundamentals, oh how I miss thee.

02/11/2011 - 1:35pm Some things don't change

That is accurate far beyond just recent years.  No BBM in my day, but early cell phones were the first sign of things to come.

02/11/2011 - 1:16pm Will Campbell

I will say that Will Campbell gets coached up and becomes a monster on the line and stake all 300 or so of my points on it!

01/27/2011 - 9:17pm Oh so happy to see that number erased!

Time to start our own count!  Way to go boys!

01/24/2011 - 6:52pm damn

You have made me laugh.  My wife was on the morning my machine crashed just before I got on Mgoblog.  I am trying to convince her that she crashed the machine with  No way it could be this blog!  You have neither helped nor hurt my case, but at least prolonged the debate!

01/24/2011 - 6:10pm Not when you are me

I looked into it a little bit from another machine, but couldn't even get past step 2 when I tried to start the process.  I have learned over time that trying to fix these problems on my own takes 3-6 months of the end of my life.  I will pay the pro and live on for one more season of Michigan football.

01/24/2011 - 6:00pm Crashed my home PC

I am lazy about anti-virus on my home PC.  Logged onto Mgoblog on Saturday AM and was the proud recipient of the "System Tool" virus that overtook my machine.  I guess 2 year old Anti-virus doesn't cut it.  Dropped it off at my computer guy's shop today and he just chuckled as he new easy money was coming his way.  Can't say it was Mgoblog for sure as no problems on work machine, but antivirus here is much better.

01/21/2011 - 2:05pm Talked to a coach friend of mine

He is at the clinic and is a Sparty through and through.  He said via text "Hoke was AWESOME."  He said coaches are liking what they hear from him and he is probably winning some coaches back that were lost by RR over the years.  He got to talk with Hoke for about five minutes and was "nothing but impressed."

These were his comments not mine, so don't ding me for the RR losing coaches bit as I am just relaying the info presented by a current HS coach.

01/21/2011 - 1:53pm oops

01/21/2011 - 1:52pm Then why isnt that

01/20/2011 - 9:59pm Solid

Just solid.  Had to use my minds internal pirate voice before it made sense.

01/19/2011 - 9:49pm One drawback

One drawback will be that we will have to scout our competition's punters.  This was something we did not have to waste film room time on for the last few years.

01/19/2011 - 9:41pm Remember when

Remember when we used to be able to run time off the clock?  Oh to be there again would be sweet.

01/19/2011 - 9:39pm Work out?

Pryor will do more than work out.  He will dominate in any system.  He will dominate the world if he so chooses.  Just ask him.

01/19/2011 - 9:36pm Great Image

What a way to summarize this moment in time.  I am sure this diary will receive it's share of snarky replies, but it captures the feeling of lots of Michigan fans.  I am amped up for the Fall like I haven't been in some time.  We are about to get our swagger back!

01/18/2011 - 11:04pm Don't forget

Don't forget the possible catching of the punts!

01/18/2011 - 11:02pm I hear

Greg Robinson is available.

01/18/2011 - 10:27pm Nice

I see what you did there.

01/12/2011 - 10:10am Good points

You have said exactly what I have been feeling for the last 24 hours better than I would have.

01/12/2011 - 10:01am Good to see a little positivity

There is a long way to go, but it is good to see some positive comments about the guy who very likely will bring us back around.

Now its time to change the banner.  Seriously.

01/12/2011 - 9:37am Can we skip summer?

I am ready for Fall!

01/08/2011 - 10:47pm As wrong as can be

Name me more than five schools in the country that would be playing on January 1st with a record of 7-5, and a crappy 7-5 at that.  The reason we were there....because we are MICHIGAN.  We have a right to an elitist attitude.  We seemed to forget that when we went fad chasing a few years ago, but we ARE better than all but a handfull of programs out there.  We are a better institution, a better team and better men.  We have to return to that attitude or we can become just another program.

So some of our players think outside the box and take liberty with their introductions on football broadcasts.  That is nothing more than a representation of the independence and creativity that is nurtured in Ann Arbor.

There is a reason football fields run North to South.  His name is Yost.  Accuse me as you will of being a blue hair (which I am not by age) and clinging to the past.  I will take that insult every day if I don't have to watch my program get embarrased in front of a national audience like we did on New Year's Day.

We are MICHIGAN.  We are elite.  We forgot that for a moment, but the right person can bring us back there and I hope Brandon finds that individual.  Take your shots at Hoke as Brian has instructed you to do, but he has not forgotten that we earned an elitist attitude through the work and dedication of some great men.

That was a long reply to a short message and no one will read it, but I have been reading too many of these posts and finally had to hit reply.

01/08/2011 - 1:36pm How about

a pizza cutter?

01/07/2011 - 1:00pm Nice

That is a nice break from every other thread that I keep refreshing.

01/07/2011 - 11:15am Relieved of duties

Huh Huh, duties.

01/06/2011 - 11:47pm Agreed

Harbaugh is making the right move based on Luck's decision.  Stay at Stanford, a school who is less than passionate about football, so he can coach Luck for exactly one more season and no longer.  Meanwhile he is passing up huge money in the NFL and his theoretical dream college job.  Yup, makes perfect sense.  I would make the same move....if I were CRAZY.  Passing up all of these opportunities based on coaching one more year with a great quarterback?  Use some logic here.  Jim is coming home soon!

01/06/2011 - 11:40pm your asking what?

Would I rather have Filet or Ground Chuck (with a health issue)?

01/06/2011 - 11:39pm and dream I will

that is a wonderful dream that I will tuck myself in with tonight.  T-minus how many days until Harbaugh comes home?

01/06/2011 - 11:35pm Brady Hoke

is bummed out right now

01/06/2011 - 10:33pm plus 100

we must have lived there around the same time

12/23/2010 - 7:25pm Ummmm....

I think it is now time to destroy the internet.  Yup, that was the last straw.  Pull the plug.

12/21/2010 - 1:07pm Timing?

Was this prediction made before or after the damning news about "Michigan Robot?"

12/20/2010 - 4:54pm Ummmm....

Well, I will just leave most of that alone and state the "The Big Chill" is a fantastic movie that really hits home as you enter your mid thirties.

12/17/2010 - 3:47pm Beaver

That robot is going to get lots of stuffed beavers rubbed on his face!  GERG better restock the stuffed animal drawer!

12/17/2010 - 2:52pm Yes it seems fun at first

but sooner or later your first bracket will find out about your second bracket and then it goes downhill.

12/15/2010 - 2:51pm Jon Harbaugh

Coaches the Baltimore Ravens, but I am not sure what bowl everyone is talking about...Oh the Super Bowl.  You mean we are going to have to wait until February?

12/14/2010 - 9:57am Not sure

Not sure which part of that is pleasant.

12/13/2010 - 11:43pm Excellent pick up

Welcome aboard Desmond!  This kid hits hard and likes to hit hard.  I have seen him play in a number of games and he will be a great addition to Michigan.  Rob Renes was our last West Ottawa Panther and Desmond has the same type of attitude and brains that will make him a leader on defense.  I look forward to watching him lay out some Buckeyes.

12/13/2010 - 10:21pm The Cone Award

Need I say more?

12/13/2010 - 1:00pm same here

I unfocused my eyes and starred at it for minutes waiting for the 2 to appear like those pictures they have at the mall, but no such luck.

12/12/2010 - 1:01am We will break this record but...

there is a lot more room on the field during a hockey set up for people than for a football set up.  The attendance counts everyone inside the fence, not just in the seats.  From the hot dog guy to the camera guy, they all count as one.  There were a lot of people down on the field for this one because of the extra space, so the attendance was bound to break every record.

12/11/2010 - 11:16am Look in the fridge

Silver lining can be found at the top of an ice cold can that will not be available to those attending the game.

12/10/2010 - 2:55pm John U. Bacon?

Another pro-Bo era post about John U. Bacon's book?
