HS Coaches Clinic - Kzoo (Hoke)

Submitted by Black Socks on

Brady and D'antonio both spoke this morning at the clinic.

Were any MGoBloggers there are how were the coaches?

Hopefully Hoke was buttering up the coach's. Michigan needs to do everything it can to get the best in home (Michigan) recruits. Not losing them to the SEC!

I meant buttering up the Coaches. You people seriously sit here and knit pick the stupidest things. I realize i made mistake (typo), but seriously if you cant figure out what i meant then you must not be a U of M grad son!

He is at the clinic and is a Sparty through and through.  He said via text "Hoke was AWESOME."  He said coaches are liking what they hear from him and he is probably winning some coaches back that were lost by RR over the years.  He got to talk with Hoke for about five minutes and was "nothing but impressed."

These were his comments not mine, so don't ding me for the RR losing coaches bit as I am just relaying the info presented by a current HS coach.

Dantonio should tell the coaches that even though they say they recruit Michigan, the reality is that only 5 of their 19 recruits are from the State of Michigan.

I think we can dispense with the bullshit myth that MSU goes after the local kids and Michigan only goes after the out of state kids.

I can't tell you how many times I hear that from my Sparty friends when they tell me why they like MSU.

I think MSU has 5 kids in its almost full class this year.  UM has 4 (or 5, depending on J. Fisher) in a MUCH smaller class.

The myth should die.  Also, the myth that "recruiting our own backyard" makes a big difference should also die.  Neither program is going to win big national games relying primarily on kids in Michigan.  (No offense to Michigan HS kids.)

Thats funny that you think any of the posters on Mgoblog are actual  coaches that go to clinics....  maybe a few high school coaches sprinkled in here, but not many.
