Is it just me or is everyone ignoring Texas' $15M/yr deal with underamour? It seems to me even with its new deal Michigan will only have the 2nd richtest apparel deal in college sports.
Great analysis. I don't think Herman's agent would accept $1.35M/yr offer at a Big Ten school. No doubt the market rate would be closer to the $2M mark you mentioned.
As a graduate of both UM and UT (and a former season ticket holder as a student at both schools), I love the A&M schadenfreude.
There are a lot of similarities between MSU/A&M, but the raging insecurity of the A&M fanbase really sets them apart.
When the Hosuton Chronicle accidentally referred to UT Athletic Director Deloss Dodds as the "Big 12 commissioner," earlier this week, I think there was a collective head asplode moment for all A&M fans. Freudian slip?
While they may not be the best team of the last 20 years, I would the say '04/'05 team may be the best from the last decade.
They should have done some damage in the tournamet, but instead-- in what is definitely my worst michigan hockey memory-- blew a 3-0 lead to colorado college and lost a virtual home game in Grand Rapids, MI, in the 2nd round of the tournament.
If you go between 1-2am people are throwing 20s down every couple minutes for a chocolate shake. they can only shake that chocolate so many times a night. but its not an urban legend thats for sure.
It's ironic that hype videos from this summer and last revolve around showing highlights from the previous season while simultaneously playing song lyrics advocating said highlights are forgettable.
I guess people on this thread seem pretty upset by his swan dive into the MSU band but I thought it was hilarious. It was as if he expected to be caught, and instead the seas parted and he just fell on his face.
Awesome mockups. I'd say the maize on maize is a definite no-no, but the white on white looks surprisingly good.
Also white tops and navy blue pants looks awful, IMO.
Thanks for the response. I would definitely look forward to 'fitted' American Apparel shirts. For tall thin frames those AA shirts fit perfectly. Gildan or Hanes T-Shirts make me feel like I'm wearing a bed gown.
Yeah, what was the whole handshake thing about. It looked like Beilein never even shaked Painter's hand b/c he was too busy for some reason rounding up the team.
Brian this seems to fly in the face of your usual ranking style: if two teams have played head-to-head and have the same record, the loser should not be ranked ahead of the winner.
I cannot understand why Texas is rated below OU. There are no hypotheticals here.. Texas played OU and won by 10 pts!
I think that A2 is still a unique college town. I have visited and lived in other college campuses (such as Univ of Texas at Austin, touted as an electic place). I think A2 still ranks among the most unique. Yes we have Potbelly and Starbucks and crappy places like that, but compared to other cities it's still very independent. You know those 'fancy' townhouses at Packard/State? In other campuses anything within walking distance of campus looks like that. Nice but devoid of character and affordable only to those riding a wave of their parents' money.
I'm pretty shocked to see fans on here defending the boos. At the game I just figured it was the WalMart wolverines who were booing and not the alumni. Totally classlass and stupid, the only things boos do is make the opposing team's fans happy (and also make them wonder, what kind of idiot Michigan fans boo their own team?).

I remember he did the same off-the-backboard play while playing for Michigan.
Looks like you are correct:

However, I'd be shocked if Texas' new deal doesn't surpass the Michigan/Nike deal.

I kinda like it when the site temporarily crashes. It's a sign that something outrageously good has happened.
Most heartbroken that will probably be the last time seeing Nik in a Michigan jersey.
This was awesome. I wish Brian would pitchfork idiotic comment posts more often, regardless of topic.
Max = Club Ten Billion.
need moar hoops opponent watch. (please continue this segment)
Would think Arizona more likely. Does Hoke even want an undersized darty back with former torn ACL?
The distinction was a "good" lambic. I've tried many of the above and they're marginal compared to anything out of Belgium.
I find it odd that a brewer called "new belgium" doesnt serve up a good lambic. i think 'old belgium' would call that sacrilege.
"..Can change direction without loss of speed or balance.."
or Terry Malone. take your pick
Greg Davis = Mike DeBord
so awesome that someone mentioned galway arms in this thread. live only a block away, and love it. the whole menu.

I don't mind FNT this year. Partly because I think Tim Baltz is hilarious. I saw his live Second City show and he rocked it.
I don't doubt that Devin will be a star someday, but at this point in time Tate is far superior as a backup.
