UT gets 2013 FB commit

While I loathe all things Lane Kiffin, this at least raised an eyebrow (maybe a mono-brow!!). The Tennessean reported that Evan Berry, brother of current player Eric Berry, has committed to UT for the 2013 football class. One, this doesn't surprise me due to his brother. Two, I didn't think you could commit that early (guess you can, just obviously can't sign a LOI). Three, I pray football will not start looking like basketball recruiting where you are insanely far out with recruits. Even projecting into the next year is crazy enough, but I understand the reason due to juniors attending your camps. I also understand Brian's note today on the recruiting fatigue since everything is RECRUITING!! SHINY!! SHINY!! RECRUITING!! just due to an offseason that is seemingly endless. I guess that is why this stuck me as a bad thing.

this is a weird commitment. I wish the ncaa would crack down and not allow scouting until after their freshman football season ends or something.
