Anyone else attend the '94 games in Detroit? My Father and I were directly behind the goal that Wynalda scored in against the Swiss. The building was 147 degrees but that goal was awesome.
I remember that goal like yesterday. I wish I was little older to appreciate it more thought. I also got to see Brazil play at the Silverdome!
How is Russell Brand banging Katy Perry? Attention Merriam-Webster's, unjust has a new entry!
I tracked the odds in a section of my Day 2 preview post at the JCB today.
As of now, here's what the prices are:
England: -230
Draw +300 (3/1)
US +600 (6/1)
O/U 2.5 goals
Man, the US was like 3/1 when the lines came out weeks ago.
Anybody else read The Beckham Experiment? I chuckle a little bit everytime I see that ESPN/ABC has Lalas and Gullit in the same analysis team.
take a shinguard to the crumpets!!!
I'm actually pretty ok with Clark and Findley instead of Edu or Torres and Buddle. I don't think the US will see a lot of possession today, and I think Findley is more dangerous on the counterattack than Buddle. Also, Clark instead of Torres strikes me as good if you aren't going to have the ball anyways.
Land of the free home of the brave baby lets get this thing started!!!
So is England rocking polo shirts as jerseys? Just wonderin'.
SHIT
UP
damn it
...that's not good. Gerrard.
fucking whaiushsiuh
UUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!
Well, that is a great start!
How bad is that for us? A Michigan football analogy would be helpful.
Thanks.
returning the opening kick-off for a score
Ugh.
I'd take a draw at this point already.
That is kind of what I thought, just didn't know what level of anger I should be at.
Thanks.
And defenses so good that that might be the only score.
Not that these Ds are good, but a 1-0 result in soccer is quite possible. So 1st goal is huge.
.....on their first 3 possessions.
...that should have been a yellow.
Agreed. Late and sloppy..
ummmm, not a good paly by clark at all... he had a nice view of the whole thing though.
paly in traffic if you ask me!
I tend to agree. there seems to be a couple better choices and I suspect we will see one of them before long.
well, if they're allowed to stab at Tim Howard like that this game will be over in 30 minutes.
...his speed there to win the corner.
Take a shot and send the corner into the box. Enough of this short shit.
The short corners were good changeups. I thought on the last one he should have put the cross in the air, though.
Funky Butt-Lovin?
Last fall weren't you the one that told me you were headed to Marine boot camp this spring?
Are you in the Marines or did that not happen?
if you must know.
No big deal it happens. Marine surgeon general or whatever the main health department in it didn't pass on my asthma waiver despite the fact I haven't had an massive attack since 1999. I'm trying to process with the National Guard right now they are a little more lenient with those issues. If I'm not fit I'm not fit almost 60% of American males in America aren't fit for the service right now which is pretty shocking.
They needed that shot!!!!
...Jozy miss that?? Aaahhh!!!!
soooo close there just couldn't connect!
Winners so far go to people who bet these:
Gerrard to score first goal of game: 6/1
First goal of game within the first 10 minutes: 3.5/1
Did you get in on it?
why do we have to look at England's coach every 30 secinds?
His awesome glasses are a magnet. Those are borderline goggles (Rec Specs).
F'ing magnets, how do they work?
as I am not a soccer fan, but I'm trying to watch this game, and I had a question. What in the hell is that buzzing sound in the stadium? I know I've read about it before, but I can't remember. Thanks
South African trumpet things. Highly annoying.
hand em out to everyone entering the game? jeez that's loud and constant
