Top 25 ranking predictions!

Make your top 25 predictions for Michigan! I have a feeling Micigan could get voted to #19 or better, but it would be a bit of a stretch at this point without seeing all the games completed today. #9 or #11 will lose today (Miami or Va Tech)- very possible both teams stay ranked ahead of Michigan, but not likely. #17 Houston will have a tough time with Texas Tech tonight. #18 Florida St. lost. #20 Kansas won, but enough for us to overtake them? #22 North Carolina lost. #4 Ole Miss lost on Thursday night, do they still get ranked ahead of Michigan? I have a feeling #15 TCU will lose to Clemson. In the best case scenario, I wouldn't be surprised at a #15 ranking for Michigan. Discuss!

No better than where we're ranked but may move up via other schizophrenic teams/performances (FSU, looking at you in particular). The nice thing is M didn't play well but made enough plays on both sides of the ball when it counted in the 4th Q and pulled it out. That's a good sign--winning games you could have easily lost. "They're going to make freshman mistakes" reared its head and at the end of the day, no harm no foul.

I'd like to hear your thought on his question, "#4 Ole Miss lost on Thursday night, do they still get ranked ahead of Michigan?" I'm going with yes. what say you?

Cal is losing. Miami is losing. FSU lost Today is Upset Saturday. We should feel good about Michigan's win no matter what!

It is nice to have the national recognition, but where we are ranked now really doesn't matter. If we keep winning, the ranking will take care of itself.

to speculate in some weird way. But it just means nothing for this team. UM is still a work in progress and along way from challenges the top 10 or 15 teams in the country. We have (a lot of) work to do.

If say, Penn st. lost, they wouldn't drop far enough to move out, but Iowa might jump us. Cal lost, Oregon may jump us. EDIT: Oregon won't jump us... I'm not saying we will drop, but there is a chance. Admittedly, I made the statement without thinking through which teams were likely to move, but my last post still stands. I don't know, I'm just guessing, I guess.

There is no way in the world we go up to 15. Not a chance. We weren't nearly impressive enough against Indiana to warrant any serious move up. I say we move up one or two spots, ahead of North Carolina and Florida State. We will get jumped by somebody else though.

They do not watch all games and most pollsters will be like "Wow, Michigan was 3-9 last year and they are 4-0 and beat Notre Dame. Oh, they have this great Tate/Denard combo, so let's just vote for a favorable position for them." If all the Top 25 teams lose the rest of the day, I think a #15 ranking is reasonable, but is it not reasonable that ALL top 25 teams that have yet to finish their games will lose.

It's great that we are ranked. I honestly didn't expect it this year - at least not until the end of the year. It matters to me in November and beyond. I Until then it just serves as extra motivation for the people we play.

November is the time to worry about rankings, and our ranking is just fodder for the other teams to use to turn their season around (looking at you, Sparty). Besides, if all the other ranked teams this year didn't play so spastic and lose games early and often, we may not even be ranked, and especially wouldn't have jumped into the fray after today's win. Still, 4-0 feels great whether there's a ranking attached to it or not (just ask IU fans and players what it would mean to them right now...). GO BLUE!

Michigan may move up a couple spots, but to be honest I think we're a little overrated right now. Not to be negative (and please don't neg-bomb me), but our defense is very weak. I'm glad to be 4-0 and I'm excited about this team and today's win, but we are very lucky to be undefeated. Hopefully Gerg can work some magic and get that group in order. The way they have looked the past 3 games has been pretty scary as we head into the tougher part of the big ten.

Hell I'm just excited that we're 4-0, I'm not too concerned with our ranking. I'd have to say that we won't jump too much, probably two spots, as long as we're not moving down on the list because of a loss I really don't care.
